SCHOOL-PARENT COMPACT (AGREEMENT)2017-2018

The Administration, teachers, and entire staff of

Leesburg High School will work to ensure that:

  • YOUR CHILD receives high-quality content and instruction which will be provided in a supportive, safe and effective learning environment in order for him/her to meet Florida’s student academic achievement standards and strive to be a life-long learner:
  • Professional development for teachers
  • District approved curriculum, blue prints and task cards based on Florida StandardsAssessments
  • Career training educational programs (CTE)
  • After hours tutoring
  • HOPE Academy - After-school credit and GPA Recovery Program
  • Parent-Teacher conferences are held as needed and this compact will be discussed as it relates to YOUR CHILD’S academic achievement:
  • Parent conferences can be requested/scheduled through Guidance at 352-787-5047
  • Guidance counselors, teachers and/or administrators will request conferences when a student is struggling academically, behaviorally or socially
  • Title I personnel and Guidance staff will act as a liaison between teachers, parents and students
  • Frequent reports on YOUR CHILD’S progress will be provided to you:
  • Parent Portal (Skyward Family Access)allows online access to student’s attendance and grades
  • Progress reports will be issued halfway through each quarter
  • Report cards will be issued quarterly
  • YOU have reasonable access to staff:
  • Communication through the district Email system
  • Conferences with Guidance counselors (telephone or in person)
  • Teacher/Administrator conferences must be scheduled in advanceby calling 352-787-5047
  • Title I office personnel are available to assist regarding school contact
  • YOU are welcomed as an observer and volunteer in the school:
  • Observations can be arranged through the Guidance Department with Administrator approval
  • Volunteer information may be obtained by contacting the main office at 352-787-5047

- Deliver notices/ information from school to parents
- Communicate your needs to parents/teachers
- Obtain make-up work, complete and turn in
- Track graduation requirements/testing scores
