2015 approved spending not fully spent yet are Tents (X8), Shooting jackets and other shooting supplies
2016 opening balance is $30,466.58????? to check with Tara
Storage is secured till March 31st, however we should consider closer and cheaper storage. Tara and Lieutenant Bannerman will look into other location. Captain Hattie advise that there is a new person in charge at 1 Field Ambulance and it looks like we will not have a storage cage as per previously discussed with the previous person. If we do, it won’t be till next fiscal year (April 2017) because it has to be built.
Tara had made all arrangements last year and “Source for Sports” will sell items via their website. They will bring size prior to the opening of the online store. Cadets and families will be able to order themselves and pay online. The delivery is a few weeks after the store close and we’ll try to plan so cadets get their items prior to Christmas.
1)  President – no nominations, Josée Valiquette (previous president) left her name stand
2)  Vice-President – No nomination – position stays opened
3)  Secretary – Nomination of Tanya Fata, No other nomination – Tanya accepted
4)  Treasurer – no nominations, Tara Gauthier (previous treasurer) left her name stand
5)  League representative – Not an election position, however Chris Robinson (departing) agreed to stay for a transition of the new rep who was taken by Christine Bannerman
No one wished to oversee the totality of the preparation therefore Josée will oversee the event with help from parents who wants to be involved.
Venue – Capt Hattie & Andy will look into the Lamplighter at Garisson
Caterer – Sarah will get quotes
Pictures – Possible SDI or done prior to event (this would be problematic due to other invited guests from 1 Field Ambulance may not be available
Other items to be considered are the Silent Auction, 50/50 and other fundraising that night
Price to charge should be increased (cadets and staff will remain free paid by the Corp)
It was collectively decided that separate meetings will be held to plan the X-mas supper – Next week Wednesday 8:00 pm
-  Bottle Drive - We will hold at least one bottle drive this year – Discussion as to doing this in Morinville as there is no sorting…. To be looked into, in the meanwhile, Cadet Winjack and Sr. Cadets can lead event - Josée to make arrangements with bottle depot for a date in late November or early December
-  Canteen – Need a volunteer to replenish snacks and drinks for cadets to purchase on Parade night. – Shannon Volk took on that task for this year.
Capt. Hattie informed the group that this is a must and all parents involved with the kids including the parent group be screened – Josée will bring Screening package at next meeting.
-  FTX Slave Lake (Sept. 30 weekend) with preparation day by cadets at upcoming Saturday @ Lions park
-  Army Cadets Challenge cancelled or postponed
-  Poppy blitz – usually a Saturday or Sunday prior to Remembrance Day - may need parents to drive cadets to and from locations
-  Remembrance Day – will need assistance of parents to assist Corp and kids
-  Light up St. Albert (early December) – May or may not participate and Capt. Hattie will inquire with organisers when they call to ensure cadets are busy and not just walking around
-  Possible Oil King hockey game (discussion as to having a bus as this may increase the attendance of cadets and parents)
-  X-Mas Supper
Parents are quite unhappy with website look, information hard to find for newcomer, etc.… Jackie Morin advises her husband is a webmaster and would not mind looking at it to give us suggestions (Should it be cleaned up? Should it be scrapped and re-done with Ramp? Or Should it be re-done with another website provider?)
Also parents brought concern that cadets do not get weekly phone call on uniform to be worn, request the use of email as well as info added to website. Capt. Hattie will look into this.
Discussion as what was suggested and researched last year – Sarah Bergin has offered to take this on (however Carolyn Jones came a little later and said would help Sarah.
Chris Robinson will look into this with the league, do we need our own or can we use the League’s.
Capt. Hattie advise that the Corp does not need a camera
Sarah suggested that 6:20 is way too early and difficult for parents to be there. Also they tend to be way too long. Vote
