6th GRADE SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST FOR 2017/2018

Students will need these materials on the first day

Feel free to REUSE school supplies from the previous school year before purchasing duplicates!

Assignment Notebook - purchase on day of registration or in school office ($3.50 and received on 1st day of class)

Calculator - T130XIIS (used for grades 6, 7, and 8) BUY THIS EARLY OR THEY’LL ALL BE GONE!

Earbuds/Headphones- Label with the student’s name/homeroom. Please send in a labeled case or Ziploc bag.

7 notebooks AND 6 durable* folders (see colors below)

Language Arts ……Yellow notebook and yellow folder* and one composition notebook (see picture below)

Math……………….Black or purple notebook and folder*

Reading……………Red notebook and red folder*

Related Arts……….Any other color notebook and folder*

Science…………….Green notebook and green folder*

Social Studies….….Blue notebook and blue folder*

If these colors cannot be found, purchase comparable replacements.

*Please buy plastic coated/more durable folders or purchase a second set of

paper folders to replace at mid-year. Paper folders typically last until January only.

Pencils and erasers (1 package per quarter; simple pencil top erasers work well)

Colored pencils (box of 12 or more)

1 storage bag/box for markers, pencils, erasers, etc.

Please label the supplies listed above with the student’s name in permanent marker before school begins.

Items to be shared in the classroom (do not label with child’s name):

·  1 red pen

·  1 highlighter (yellow or other light color)

·  2 extra fine or fine point Sharpie® BLACK markers

·  1 roll of transparent “Scotch” tape

·  One large box of Kleenex/tissue

·  LAST NAMES:

A-H 2 highlighters (in addition to the one above)

I-P 2 dry erase markers (no yellow or pastel colors)

Q-Z 1 box sandwich or quart-sized zip lock storage bags and one extra box of Kleenex

Also required: Shorts, tee shirt, sweatshirt, and sweatpants for Physical Education

Optional but recommended: Locker accessories such as a locker organizer (shelves for additional storage) and magnets (no tape may be used to hang items in lockers)
