LESSON 5 – Thank You Letters
Teacher will need:
o List of sponsors
o Supplies for thank you cards
o Envelopes and stamps
Students will need:
o Blank thank you cards
o Blank Envelopes
o Writing tools
o Scrap paper for rough draft
Activate Students Interest:
o Let the class know that this project would not be possible if it was not for all of the help from the agricultural community. It is thanks to a group of local farmers and various different agriculture companies that the crop was able to be planted.
Students Acquire Knowledge:
o Show or discuss with students the list of supporters (below) and talk about what each on of them has donated.
o Farmers (time, equipment, and expertise has been donated)

Apply Students Knowledge:
o Students will write a rough draft of their thank you card.
o Students will then write their final copy of a thank you card.
o Students will address the envelopes.
o Students will post and mail the thank you notes.
