Perform final inspections (RFIA – Request For Inspection & Approval) and draft NCR if there is non-compliance and submit to Resident Engineer. Review electrical & instrumentation contractor submittals and forward comments to Senior Electrical Engineer. Prepare worksheets for electrical & instrumentation monthly progress and submit to Senior Schedule Planner and Quantity Surveyor. Prepare daily project report.Carry outmonthly electrical safety inspection and make a report.
I started to explore my career in the Middle East since September 2003, my first job in GCC was in Saudi Arabia and I worked as Senior Electrical Technician, start-up & commissioning, and maintenance in Chemical Process Plant. For almost 6 years in Chemical Process Plant I have been exposed to various complex fault findings and preventive maintenance to different kind of equipments up to voltage rating of 34.5kV. Understand well the control process and maintenance of Gas-Insulated Switchgears (SF6), Air-Insulated Switchgears, Metalclad Switchgears, Oil-filled Power Transformers, Dry-type transformers, 4.16kV & 480V motor control units, Distributed Control System (DCS) by YOKOGAWA version Centum CS-3000 and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) by Siemens, Eurotherm, Allen Bradley, Omron and Mitsubishi. And in the Philippines, I worked as Electrical Supervisor for Sewerage Treatment Plant and Palm Oil Refinery Plant.
Through my experiences from start-up & commissioning and maintenance to construction, from Chemical Process Plant, and Palm Oil Refinery Plant to Sewerage Treatment Plant & Pumping Station, it would be fair to say that I’m one of our company assets. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Pumping Station 70 & Pumping Mains – Doha North Sewerage Treatment Plant are monitored & controlled via SCADA through RTU & PLC.
Site representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of electrical and instrumentation works. Perform final inspections (RFIA – Request For Inspection & Approval), criteria of acceptance are based on approved drawings & installation standards, approved materials, ITP, method statements and project requirements & standards (contract documents, contract drawings, International Standards, BS standards, Qatar Construction Specification 2007 and KARHAMAA standards). PROJECT OVERVIEW
Pumping Station 70 is handling raw sewage, electrical & instrumentation equipments at wet wells are classified zone 1 hazardous atmosphere application and degree of protection, IP 68. Pumping Station 70 & Pumping Mains are fully controlled and monitored via SCADA Master Station. The principal elements of Pumping Station 70 and Pumping Mains are the following: Mechanically raked Screen Chamber 36 meters depth housed in a 20 meters outside diameter shaft; Lifting Pumping Station 40 meters depth and 38 meters diameter with 10 numbers pump sets, motor rating of 3.3kV, 740kW motors are arranged to be controlled and started by soft start units; Forwarding Pumping Station at ground level equipped with 10 numbers pump sets, motor rating of 3.3. kV, 840kW motors are arranged to be controlled and started by variable frequency drives; 11 kV & 3.3kV switchgears rooms, 3.3 kV & 415V motor control rooms, 11kV/3.3kV oil-filled power transformer rooms, 11kV/433V & 3.3kV/433V oil-filled power transformer rooms, 3.3 kV generator building, odour control unit, administration building & control room, workshop & fuel tank farm; and Pumping Mains - has 14 kilometers of triple 1600mm diameter ductile iron pipelines to Doha North – Sewerage Treatment Plant with associated flow meter chambers, crossover valve chambers, valve chambers, air valve chambers, washout valve chambers and cable draw pits. Along with the 14 kilometer pipelines are fiber optic cables & LV cables draw-into the UPVC ducts, these cables are connected to RTU and arranged to monitor flow meters and valves and indicate status in the Pumping Station 70 SCADA Master Station.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Chemical Process Plant, Palletizing Plant, and Tank Farm & Utilities are monitored and controlled via Distributed Control System (DCS) by YOKOGAWA version Centum CS-3000.
Diagnose & repair equipments and control faultsusing various electrical measuring instruments and schematic diagrams, participate in major shutdown, overhaul works and preventive maintenance. Perform daily routine maintenance according to checklist for all electrical transmission equipments such as 34.5kV Gas Insulated Switchgears, 34.5kV Air Insulated Switchgears, 34.5kV/4.16kV oil-filled power transformers; 4.16kV Metalclad Switchgears, 4.16kV/480V oil-filled & dry type transformers, Neutral Ground Resistors, 4.16kV MCC & 480V MCC, UPS & DC System, capacitor bank etc.Review breakdown history in the event log ofprotection relay and deliver maintenance, check & test starter contacts & interlocks and carry out restart and function test.Make reports to equipments that are frequently alarm or fault and suggest corrective actions to supervisor.
