2013 Season GSJG Youth Football & Cheerleading Registration!
The Golden Sierra Junior Grizzlies Youth Football & Cheerleading Association (GSJG) offers full contact football and cheer for K-8 children 6-14 years old. Players from the Golden Sierra communities are encouraged to play in our fourth season of this fun and exciting program for the Divide Youth!
The Golden Sierra High School Coaches fully support our program. They have committed to providing leadership in developing a safe and effective feeder program for the high school, including developing playbooks, designing coaches’ clinics, assisting with camps, and fundraising.
GSJG is a non-profit organization, directed by parent volunteers. The Jr. Grizzlies will compete in full contact football against other organizations affiliated with the Sacramento Youth Football League (SYF). Visit www.sacyouthfootball.org for more information about the teams.

New participants must provide a school enrollment form. Parents can request a current copy from your child’s school.
The following forms are required for all participants:
a) Player Contract
b) Code of Conduct
c) Release of Liability
d) Medical Clearance dated after April 1, 2013
In addition, a copy of a current utility bill must be provided if requested by SYF. If mailing in the registration, please do so ASAP. Medical Clearance forms MUST be completed and turned in before your child can participate in any GSJG practice, camp or event. The medical clearance will not be accepted if completed by a chiropractor or nurse practitioner.
Fundraising packets will only be handed out after the non-refundable registration fee and forms have been submitted.

GSJG 2013 Season
We are very pleased to announce that fees have dropped this season! As we did last season, football has different fees depending on the level of play and football camp is included. Football camp will be held the last full week of July. Be sure you attend this camp, as it counts toward your conditioning requirements.
For the Jr. Peewee/Peewee levels the total fee will be $155.00 and Jr. Midget/Midget levels will be $175.00. This year there will be family discounts for multiple players. Parents need to provide football players with the 3 or 5 pocket girdle, socks, and cleats.
For the Cheer teams, program fees have decreased also! The total fee is $150.00 which includes cheer camp and competition.
We have continued to offer online sign-ups. Visit our website www.gsjg.org to pay by credit card. You will be charged a $3.00 processing fee. You have the choice of paying participation fees in full or just the $50.00 registration fee. You will need to fill out the forms available online and mail them or deliver in person at any of our sign-up events.
Reduced Fee Scholarships will be offered again this season through our organization. We have a limited number of scholarships available. They will be awarded on a first come basis, so get yours in early! Information is available on the website and at sign-up events. No reduced fee scholarship applications will be accepted after June 1, 2013.
The non-refundable $50.00 registration fee is due at the time of sign-ups. We do have fundraising opportunities available to assist you in paying your fees. You can request a packet after you have registered.
Refund policy:
The $50.00 registration/cancellation fee is NOT refundable, as is any fundraising dollars. All monies raised via fundraising are the property of GSJG and will not be refunded. Monies paid for cheer uniforms will not be refunded.
Drop out dates:
Prior to July 29th - 100% of fees paid to GSJG less $50.00 and fundraising
Prior to Certification - fees paid to GSJG less $75.00 and fundraising
After Certification – NO REFUNDS
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
We are offering the Sponsorship Drive Program that could mean significant savings to you. After you pay your non-refundable registration fee, earn credit toward your program/uniform fees as follows:
Ø GRIZZLY LEVEL SPONSOR – program fee waived and a credit of $100.00 applied to cheer uniform.
Ø GOLD LEVEL SPONSOR – program fee waived and a credit of $75.00 applied to cheer uniform.
Ø BLACK LEVEL SPONSOR – receives a credit of $50.00 to your program fees.
Ø CUB LEVEL SPONSOR – receives a credit of $20.00 to your program fees.
The program fee and uniform credit must be used for the same participant. All you need to do is use the sponsorship forms posted on our website to explain to potential sponsors that we are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in need of community support. Their donation may be tax deductible and there are advertising and other benefits.
So – The challenge is on!! Please do not send in sponsorship forms one at a time. If you are participating for a reduced cost season, they must be submitted in one envelope with all checks and forms included. BE SURE to put your child’s name on EACH Sponsorship form in order to insure your child receives credit.
RAFFLE
We will be offering the raffle of the Visa Gift Card again this season. There could be the possibility of more than one gift card if sale are high enough.
Raffle tickets: Earn a credit to your program fees in the amount of 50% of the raffle tickets sold. For example, if you sell 10 raffle tickets @ $5.00 each, you will receive a $25.00 credit to your program fees.
This fundraiser is easy. Sell the raffle tickets to family and friends all over the country. We chose a Visa Gift Card since it can be used virtually anywhere and for anything.
BRING A FRIEND
Get your friends to join the Jr. Grizzlies! When a friend who has never played for GSJG completes his/her registration, you will earn a $15.00 credit toward your program fees. There is no limit to how many friends you can bring; the more, the merrier! Please be sure your name is on their forms, so we can give you the discount.
FOOTBALL REGISTRATION
Jr. Peewee and Peewee Level
Total Cost is $155.00
This includes a non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 and a program fee of $105.00.
Jr. Midget and Midget Level
Total Cost is $175.00
This includes a non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 and a program fee of $125.00.
After the non-refundable registration fee has been paid and forms turned in, you may request a fundraising packet to help you offset the balance of your fees. This can benefit you as well as our organization.
The fees cover only part of the cost we must pay for facilities, insurance, equipment, copying, administration, and uniform use for the season.
At the time equipment/uniforms are issued, each player must provide a deposit check in the amount of $200.00 which will NOT be cashed during the season. If all items are returned in reasonable condition and you fulfill your parent volunteer hours, your check will be returned to you at the End of Season equipment turn in.
Each football player will be required to provide his/her own cleats (molded is recommended), 3 or 5- pocket girdle, socks, and athletic cup (if desired) at your own expense. Your Practice Jersey will be yours to keep along with the mouth guard and 7-piece pad set. All other items issued must be returned at the end of the season in good condition to receive your deposit back. These items are helmet with chin strap, game and practice pants, home and away jerseys, shoulder pads, belt, and equipment bag.
For early registration, the $50.00 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration. The balance is due by June 15, 2013. The equipment deposit check is due at the uniform/equipment handout or you will not receive equipment. GSJG will consider payment arrangements as long as all fees are paid prior to September 1, 2013. Submit your payment requests in writing to the General Manager.

CHEERLEADING REGISTRATION
The cost for cheerleading is $150.00 plus cost of the uniform. This includes a non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 and a program fee of $100.00. Included with registration is cheer camp and competition.
Once your non-refundable registration fee and forms are submitted, you may request a fundraising packet to help you offset the program/uniform fees. This can benefit you as well as our organization.

Additional Uniform Cost:
Cheerleaders will be responsible for purchasing their own uniform. This year’s uniform will remain the same as last season, except for the warm-up suit. Uniforms will not be ordered until paid in full.
Uniform Components – Complete Uniform Package cost: $190.00
(Uniform price after June 15, 2013 may be higher & will not be ordered by GSJG staff)
Uniform Package includes skirt, shell, lettering, socks, shoes, briefs, hair bow, practice shirt, and shorts.
Warm-up jacket, pants, and equipment bag are available for a separate fee.
No uniform deposit will be collected. Pompoms will be handed out and collected at each game. They will remain the property of GSJG. During uniform fittings, cheer parents must provide a $100.00 volunteer hours/equipment bag deposit check. This check will NOT be cashed during the season. If you fulfill your parent volunteer hours and return the equipment bag in good condition, your check will be returned to you at the end of the season.
