Director of Discipleship in the Family

Christ Community Church of Milpitas is seeking a person who is deeply committed to Jesus Christ and has strong gifts of leadership to help us minister to the families in our congregation and the greater community. We are particularly looking for someone to help parents learn better how to disciple their children. Because many of the families in our church and our community consist of foreign born parents with American born children, we especially are looking for someone motivated to help these families discover how Christ can help meet the challenges these families face.

Although experience in church ministry is ideal,the person we are seeking may actually come from an educational or business background seeking a second career path. Above all, we are looking for someone who can provide leadership for multiple staff and 40+ volunteers.

Christ Community Church of Milpitas is a Christ-Centered, Bible-believing, Mission-mindedchurch of approximately 1100 people. Position Responsibilities:

  • Craft vision for and relationally facilitate the discipleship of families
  • Facilitate the training of our children’s teachers
  • Supervise and inspire the children’s ministry staff
  • Seek to reach out to local children and families outside the church
  • Creatively utilize technology
  • Recruit and train volunteers to work with our children’s programs
  • Strategically plan, align and oversee our summer camps for children
  • Work with the Senior Pastor to coordinate Sunday’s children messages
  • Skillfully work with the pastors to select curriculum

Qualifications and Experience:

  • College graduate
  • Degree in theology or education preferred
  • Multi-language skills helpful
  • Must personally embrace the vision, theology andvalues of CCCM and ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians
