St Josephs Residential/Activity Weekend 2014
Following on from the success of previous Activity Weekends we hope to take another group of pupils on a two night residential course to Newlands Adventure Centre from Friday 4th – Sunday 6th of April 2014. We leave school at 3:30 on the Friday and return mid-afternoon on the Sunday.
There will be outdoor activities during the day followed by different challenges in the evening specifically planned for the needs of our group. The overall aim is to improve our pupils’ self-esteem by encouraging students to raise their own expectations of what they can achieve, the value of ‘working with others’ and improving their social and interactive skills. Last, but not least, we hope that everyone will have an amazing and enjoyable learning experience.
As we have taken other groups to Newlands in the past we have been offered a generous discount on the price of a 2 night residential. The cost of transport to and from Newlands has been included in the final price.
The full cost of the residential including coach travel is £190.
There is an initial deposit of £50 (non refundable) to be paid by Friday 29th November 2013 with the remainder of the balance due by the Friday 7th March 2014.
Places will be allocated on a first come basis.
