Title: / IT ADMINISTRATOR
Reports to: / Vice-President Programs and Services
Status: / Exempt
Position Summary: / The IT Administrator is responsible for all Information Technology (IT) related issues, programs, and communication systems, including computers, telephones and mobile phones and pagers. The position is required to consult with the Camillus House IT Administrator (CHITA) and liaise with Health Choice Network (HCN) IT staff.
Responsibilities: /
  • Comply with Camillus Health Concern’s Mission, Vision, and Values and

  • Troubleshoot and resolve all problems encountered with hardware and software in a timely manner. Be proactive by using HCN resources and escalate issues when unable to resolve.
  • Work closely with the HR Director to ensure that new hires are oriented on the basics of using the network and schedule all required trainings in an appropriate timeframe.
  • Follow the procedures for entering new Providers into the network. Solicit information from the HR Department to ensure that the necessary licenses and numbers are entered simultaneously with the signed code of ethics.
  • On an ongoing basis, provide hardware and software training and re-training to team members.
  • Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of servers, desktop computers, printers, copiers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, panic buttons, and software deployment
  • Create statistical reports as needed
  • Develop and maintain current IT policies and procedures
  • Prepare purchase requests for and maintain appropriate levels of all
computer related supplies inventory
  • Organize and neatly inventory all stocked computer accessories and equipment in the IT Department
  • Participate in regular HCN IT committee meetings and communicate results to appropriate team members
  • Perform administrative tasks as required for CHC departments as required
  • Comply with all state and local safety laws and regulations
  • Perform any other department or agency related duties or special projects as directed by Supervisor

Requirements: /
  • Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in computer or; relevant experience will be considered
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Proficiency in PC usage, and current Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers in a multidisciplinary, multitasking environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications: /
  • Previous experience in a health care setting
  • Culturally sensitive to the social, psychological and health care needs of the homeless, minority and/or underserved populations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), Creole a plus

Work Schedule: / Primary Site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Wednesday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
CH Campus FPL Site: Monday thru Thursday, 7:00 AM to 700 PM, Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
A minimum of 8 hours work per day is required unless instructed otherwise.
