Fall Youth Events [tentative]
August 2013
Wednesday, August 21st—First Night!
Youth will participate with adults (CPR, First Aid, Fire Truck, etc.)
7:15 p.m. Youth will help with recreation for children
Sunday, August 25th—
Regular Sunday School Begins
6th Grade—Confirmation Class begins (with Keli)
7th-8th Grade—meet with Vanessa and Daniel Smith
High Schoolers meet with Bryce and potentially Sarah-Dianne
Rock Climbing @ 7 p.m.
Please contact Greg if you are interested in going! (most of you already have)
This will be his last event working with Youth
Plan to meet Sarah-Dianne Jones, our new youth intern!
Wednesday, August 28th—First Wednesday night Youth program
Youth, would any of you be interested in leading a few worship songs that night? Think contemporary songs rather than hymns
Youth will help with recreation with children after our program
September 2013
Friday, September 6th @5-7 p.m.—Jesus Friends’ Summer Party
More details to come, but please mark this down on your calendars. I hope that many of you are able to help!
Friday, September 27th-29th—Middle School Retreat at John Knox Center
This is Maryville College’s homecoming, so I will be unable to attend the whole retreat (same for Sarah-Dianne). I know that many of you are interested, so keep a lookout for registration for this!
I will be looking for a few chaperones to volunteer to take the middle schoolers!

October 2013
Sunday, October 6th—NO SUNDAY SCHOOL
Only service at 10:00 a.m. this Sunday
Youth scheduled to help process in the bread for World Communion (11:00 a.m.)
October 20th @ 2:30-6 p.m.—serve dinner at Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC)
Bryce will buy food and help with cooking
Youth will help with the cooking and serving of the dinner
October 17th-20th—Knox County Schools Fall Break
October 27th—trunk or treat?
Potential October activities
-Corn Maze (maybe haunted)
-Halloween Party
November 2013
Sunday, November 10th—Buddy’s Run! @ 2-4 p.m. (times may change)
Youth help pass out water for this run
Guest speaker Sharon Lee program, youth may be interested in attending
Wednesday, November 27th- Sunday, December 1st—KCS Thanksgiving Break

Wednesday, December 4th—“Hanging of the Greens”/ Decorating the Church and Pageant Rehearsal
Friday, December 6th—Knoxville Christmas Parade @ 7 p.m.
Youth may help pass out hot chocolate at the church steps (if the route is correct)
Saturday, December 7th—Sunshine Saturday
Wednesday, December 11th—Pageant Rehearsal
Saturday, December 14th—Jingle Bell Run
