The University of Florida Levin College of Law seeks applications from entry-level candidates with excellent academic records and demonstrated potential for outstanding scholarship, and applications from junior-lateral candidates possessing outstanding academic credentials, demonstrated teaching ability, and distinguished scholarship to begin in the 2018-2019 academic year. Although positions are not necessarily limited by subject, we are particularly interested in candidates with an established record of scholarship in the fields of business and corporate law, including securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, and other advanced topics including business start-ups, entrepreneurship, and international aspects of business law.

The University of Florida Levin College of Law seeks applications for several positions from experienced scholars possessing outstanding academic credentials, demonstrated teaching ability, and distinguished scholarship to begin in the 2018-2019 academic year.

  • First, we seek applications from junior-lateral candidates possessing outstanding academic credentials, demonstrated teaching ability, and distinguished scholarship. We are particularly interested in candidates with an established record of scholarship in the fields of business and corporate law, including securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, business start-ups, entrepreneurship, and international aspects of business law.
  • Second, we seek a nationally recognized scholar to fill the newly-endowed Gerald E. Rosenthal Chair in Labor and Employment Law.
  • Third, we see an outstanding scholar to fill the Ed Rood Chair of Trial Advocacy and Procedure. We are particularly interested in scholars whose work focuses on professional responsibility / legal ethics, evidence, trial practice, and/or civil procedure. This position may be filled by a tenured faculty member or professor of practice.
  • Fourth, we seek distinguished applicants for a tenured appointment in conjunction with another college at the University of Florida, pursuant to the University of Florida’s “Preeminence Plan” to continue its rise among top public universities. We are particularly interested in candidates whose scholarship is at the forefront of areas relating to law and engineering, technology, intellectual property, regulation of industry, and entrepreneurship.
