Captain’s Guide

Result Forms & Result Sheets

Results sheets to be filled in with players initial and surname. Please refrain from using nicknames, pseudonyms and/or derogatory monikers.

All 180’s, and 100+ out shots must be endorsed by the opposing captain.

Starting Times

All matches must commence at 8.30pm sharp. Teams to be at the venue no later than 8.20pm

Dartboards

Teams must provide a match board that is in excellent condition – a new board at the start of the season will last throughout providing it is used solely for matches and is turned when needed.

*Best of 1 leg 801 in both divisions (Straight in, Double out)

Pairs

*Best of 3 Legs 501 in both divisions (Straight in, Double out)

Singles

*Best of 3 legs 501 in division 1 (Straight in, Double out)

*Best of 3 Legs 301 in division 2 (Straight in, Double out)

Rules 2013

Winter Season

1)The purpose of the league is to provide a means whereby clubs and public houses within Princes Risborough & District may compete against one another.

2)Membership to the league will be by election only. This is at the annual general meeting.

3)Entry fees to the winter league will be £20 per team per season.

4)All matches to be played on a Thursday evening starting at 8.30pm, postponements will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances. Defaulting team must notify the cancellation secretary first then their opponents. Rearranged date to be mutually agreed but must be played within 2 weeks. Failure to do so will result in the committee ruling on the outcome.

5)Matches to be played over eleven legs all played out.

*One point to be awarded for each leg won

*Order of play to be:

*2 x 3 A Side (1 leg 801, straight in, double out), 3x Pairs (best of 3 legs 501 in division 1 – straight in, double out) 6 x Singles (best of 3 legs 501 in division 1 and best of 3 legs 301 in division 2, straight in, double out)

*No Bust rule applies

*Away team to throw first in opening leg then alternate

*Captains to do respective draws however they agree

6)Teams must have at least six players, any less and legs will be forfeited.

7)The teams who have won the most number of points in each division will be league winners. If the points are level then the number of wins will determine position. If still level the games against each other will decide.

8)The home side to provide the result sheet and be responsible for its return within 7 days of the game fully completed and signed by both captains. The home team will be responsible for emailing or texting the result of the game within 2 days of the game. Failure to adhere to these timescales will see a one point deduction for each failure. 9)Home team to provide chalker. Chalk/wipe boards only to be used. No electronic machines allowed.

10)Minimum throwing distance to be 7’ 6”. If oche is fixed at 7’ 9” then players are allowed to take one step over this throw.

11)Each team shall have a match condition dartboard.

12)Every player must respect darts etiquette and it is the duty if their captain to enforce such.

13)Formation of the divisions to be agreed by the committee once all registration forms are in.

14)Any team which withdraws during a season shall have to re-apply for entry into the league the following season.

15) If both Captains sign the result card, then the result stands and no protest can be raised.

16) Protests – If you have a protest over a result DO NOTsign the result card, and then submit a protest to the committee. A protest must be submitted before within 48 hours of the game being played, along with a £20 fee, which will be refunded to yourselves should the protest be upheld.

Results Procedure

1)All results including 180’sand high outs must be emailed or texted to Stephen Williams within 48 hours of the match taking place. Failure to adhere to this process will result in a one point deduction per offence.

2)The completed result sheet, signed by both captains (unless there is a protest) must be delivered to the 2 Firs Court, Summerleys Road, Princes Risborough, Bucks HP27 9DW with 7 days of the match taking place. Failure to adhere to this process will result in a one point deduction per offence.
