Dear Parents,
Michael’s input about the Westminster mile
Gary, have just spoken to Annette. She fully understands that the chances are that she will have very few attendees if there is something else happening that the parents want to attend so has suggested that the Confirmation class be re-scheduled to the following week, Sunday 18th May.
Lindsey, could you put something in the school newsletter to advise parents of this. I will send an email to them also.
Welcome back, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break. It has been another busy week in St. Saviour’s and with such a short term ahead we will be packing a lot in over the next three weeks!

Charity Coffee Morning
A huge thank you to everyone who baked cakes and biscuits for this week’s Coffee Morning in aid of Children with Cancer. We raised an amazing £226.15! It also proved to be an excellent opportunity for many of you to meet members of the Governing Body.
Kidcrafters – in London on May 11th - an exciting day of short talks by parents for parents
St Saviour's in the newspaper tomorrow….
You hopefully saw the Kidcrafters event in the newsletter last week and have had a postcard brought home. This is the event that parent Nick Corston is organising with some other parents with 25 talks for parents by parents at the Royal Institution on Sunday 11th May (thanks to parent Al Richardson for helping with that connection and Alice Morgan for suggesting parenting guru Noel Janis-Norton as a speaker).
For more information see the website and also tomorrows Guardian Newspaper as it is going to be in the Family section with a photo of the Eco car we built last year.
School Summer Camp
A quick reminded that School Summer Camp 2014 is open for bookings! The Summer Camp will run for the first two weeks of the Summer holidays – weeks beginning July 21st and 28th). Children will be offered a wide range of activities and have quality care with school staff in our wonderfully resourced school. You can book your child in for the whole two weeks or chose particular days that suit your family. The cost per day is £35 per day which compares extremely favourably to other child minding holiday schemes and there will be a discount for siblings.
If you would like further information, please contact Miss Simmons on or call her on 020 7641 6414.
Advanced Notice of School Closure:
Please note that the school will be closed this coming Monday as it is a Bank Holiday and for the Polling Day on Thursday 22nd May.
The Giant Easter Egg!
A big thank you to Mia McGee and Talia Xyminies for the HUGE Easter egg they shared with the school. The girls won the metre tall egg at the Harrods Easter Egg Challenge and decided to share this chocolate mountain with the whole school. A video clip of Mia and Talia smashing it in assembly will be available on the website shortly. Thank you for showing such kindness and generosity, we are so proud of you!
Topic Webs.
Each class will send home a topic web today, detailing what the children will be learning over the next few weeks.
Animal Study
As you will know, the school studies a different animal or bird of interest every Thursday during assembly. Next Thursday we will be focusing on the Flamingo. Mrs Ellis cannot wait to see your research projects.

Miss McCombe would like to encourage children to write prayers for our new prayer book. A selection of these will be read out during the week in assembly. All prayers will be displayed in a folder, located in the entrance hall.
