We have written a letter to parents (overleaf) for you to edit and use as you wish. If your parents want to know more about Red Nose Day and why it’s so brilliant that your youth group is taking part, here are some facts for you.

What is Red Nose Day?

·  Red Nose Day is all about your power to make the world a better place, simply by having a great time.

·  Comic Relief is a UK charity that aims to create a just world, free from poverty

·  Last Red Nose Day the UK public raised an astonishing £99 million to help people living incredibly tough lives both here in the UK and Africa

Taking part in Red Nose Day 2017 will help:

·  Your young people learn valuable life skills such as planning, organisation, team work and leadership, as well as developing new skills like sketch writing and performing.

·  make a difference to people’s lives around the world

You can spread the word about your youth group’s work for Red Nose Day in other ways – why not send our press release to your local newspapers or set up a Facebook group?
