MARY KYER PARK

All routes start at Mary Kyer Park off Voyager Parkway

The ride is basically a gradual downhill for the first several miles.

You will come to a busy traffic light at Academy

Ccross Academy at the traffic light at about 4.7 miles

You are now on Kelly Johnson Blvd for about 50 yards

Make a left turn on Goddard Street.

Follow Goddard Street to mile 5.3

At mile 5.3 on your right you will see a small entrance – bike path

This is Cragin Road – follow this – it goes out to Woodmen Road via Campus and Vincent

At the traffic light at Woodmen – make a RIGHT TURN – watch the traffic.
Go across the bridge.

Mile 6.6 – You are at Woodmen Road – watch the traffic – make a right

but take your lane. Follow it across the bridge.

Go to Mile 7.2 and make a right on Woodmen Road

Once we get to Woodmen Road there is a nice 5 mile steady climb.

At the top of Woodmen Road, there is an optional 1 mile loop called Blodgett Peak.

Blodgett has sections of 10% - 12% for about .5 mile

Follow Blodgett back to Woodmen and continue South.

At 15.3 miles into the ride the road changes to Centennial Blvd

Make a RIGHT TURN on Flying W Ranch Road at the light.

There is a nice climb here to the top grades of 9% at the top

At the bottom of Flying W Ranch Road turn right on to 30th st. Mile 17.7

At mile 18 you will find your first stop at Garden of the Gods Road

and a Loaf n Jug and Subway at the corner. You should ensure you have full water

bottles at this point. The next water stop is around mile 28…

Continue on 30th street

30th St is a bit narrow but it’s the only way to the entrance of the Garden of the Gods.

Just be mindful there is traffic. Go single file – pace line.

A right turn at 19.5 miles gets you into Garden of the Gods park. Gateway Rd

Follow this RIGHT to Juniper Loop

Tourists are everywhere so please be careful.

The road wraps around and goes uphill for a little bit

MILE 21.5 – the road splits – STAY RIGHT on GARDEN DRIVE

MILE 22.2 - TAKE A PHOTO AT THE BIG ROCK

Continue downhill on Garden Drive to mile 22.6

Make a LEFT on El Paso Blvd

Follow EL PASO BLVD TO MILE 23.2

MAKE A RIGHT ON COLUMBINE ROAD and a QUICK LEFT ON PIKES PEAK AVE

LEFT AT mile 23.5 - you will head up Ridge Road. You will most likely be cursing me.

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge raced this a couple years ago.

Ridge Road is a 12% hump at the top with steady 9%-10% all the way up for just about

1 mile. It will get your legs pumped.

STAY TO THE RIGHT AT THE TOP OF RIDGE ROAD

Juniper Way leads you back out to the entrance road and back to 30th st.

At 30th Street Mile 25.4 you will find the Visitors Center if you need it with bathrooms and water.

Make a left on 30th and once again, watch the traffic – it’s tight.

In less than 1 mile you will make a right on Mesa Road. It is a little bit of an uphill

and a grade of 8% in one spot but it is uphill. Once you get to the top – take a photo

of the Garden of the Gods where it’s flat.

Mesa Road is fun and easy and flat

Make a LEFT TURN AT FILLMORE at the traffic light Mile 27.7

Follow Fillmore to Centennial Blvd at mile 28.6. On your left there is a King Soopers

Subway and other places, plus the Planned Parenthood building where the shooting

Took place.. Centennial Blvd is all downhill.

Centennial is filled with shops, food, etc..and at mile 30…Marigold Restaurant off to

Your right is one of the best restaurants in the Springs – excellent food.

Continue on Centennial – NORTH

At mile 32.7 make a right at the light on Vindicator – UTE PARK on your right is very popular

For running and mtb.

At mile 34 – make a right on Rockrimmon Blvd and have fun

At mile 35.5 – you will go under I-25, take a left (careful) and go up to

Nevada/Corporate Drive at the light.

MAKE ANOTHER LEFT underneath I-25.

At mile 36.1 on your left is Criterium Bicycles if you need another stop. Otherwise continue

On Corporate Drive.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE THE BIKE PATH – IT GETS YOU ACROSS WOODMEN ROAD SAFELY

(ask at the bike shop if you have ?)

Cottonwood Creek Trail

You go just past Criterium Bike shop

You'll come up to a bridge that takes you across the

street to Zios Restaurant or across the creek

take a right there and that will take you up in smoothly

connect you through some beautiful infrastructure underneath

Woodmen Road and back to Vincent.

If you choose NOT to take this bike path,.

Mile 37.2 – you will hit Woodmen Road. BE CAREFUL

You will need to make a right turn on Woodmen and then get over to make a left on to Campus Drive.

This comes up in like .3 of a mile – WATCH TRAFFIC

Campus Drive turns into Vickers and then Cragin Rd. Just follow this road around to

Goddard Road where you make a left turn, back to Kelly Johnson and then out to Academy

You will cross back over Academy Blvd at mile 39.4

Mile 39.4 –you are back on Voyager heading back North.

Follow Voyager North to Old Ranch Road mile 41.7

43 mile option ONLY: go straight back to Mary Kyer Park via Voyager.

59 mile and 92 mile options

Mile 41.6 – MAKE A RIGHT on Old Ranch Road. There is about a 4 mile climb.

It averages 5%-6%. At the top of Old Ranch it veers left and turns into Milam Road.

Mile 46.9 – make a left on Shoup road – this is a screaming downhill for 2 miles.

Mile 49.1 – Make a right turn on Hwy 83 – big shoulders – a bit uphill

Mile 50.5 – Left at Northgate Blvd.

Mile 50.8 Make a right on Roller Coaster Road – Roller Coaster Road is used in the

Elephant Rock Century- it has Rollers and Grades of 8% or more in spots.

Mile 52.7 – Make a LEFT on STELLA DRIVE (DO NOT MISS STELLA DRIVE) Its at the bottom of a hill.

Mile 53.5 – DON”T MISS THE LEFT ON TO SUN HILLS DRIVE.

This is a very fun and beautiful riding road

Mile 55.5 – Left on Sun Hills and a LEFT on Gleneagle Drive

Mile 56.5 – quick stop – the LOAF n JUG is on your right

58 MILE OPTION:

Make a LEFT on Struthers

Make a left at North Gate Blvd at the light and take it up to Voyager Mile 57.4

Follow this back to Mary Kyer Park at 58.8

92 MILE OPTION

Mile 56.5 – Make a right on Struthers at the traffic light

Go NORTH on Struthers – this turns into Jackson Creek Parkway

The fun begins at mile 60.4

MILE 60.4 – RIGHT on HIGBY ROAD – this is serious climbing. Grades to 14% at top.

This a 4 mile climb with several ramps – each more difficult than the last.

Follow HIGBY to the end

Mile 64.3 Make a RIGHT on Roller Coaster Road

Mile 64.8 Make a LEFT on Hodgen Road and cross Hwy 83.

Mile 66.7 Make a LEFT on Timber Meadows drive

Mile 67.4 Make a RIGHT on Pond View Place

Pond View turns into Woodhaven Drive

Mile 68.4…stay LEFT

Follow Woodhaven Drive out to Walker Road and make a LEFT TURN

Continue West on Walker Road

Mile 71.1 – MAKE a RIGHT on Roller coaster Road north

Mile 72.1 – Make a LEFT on Royal Troon Road

Mile 72.6 – Make a RIGHT on Kings Deer Point – heading west

Mile 74.3 - Make a RIGHT on Furrow Road

Mile 75.4 – Make a LEFT on Palmer Divide Ave – follow into Palmer Lake

Continue Left / South at Cty Line road hwy 105 –

Water at mile 80.5

Follow hwy 105 all the way to Peakview Blvd at mile 82.6

Make a RIGHT on Peakview Blvd – go downhill to dead end

Mile 83 – make a left on Monument Lake Road and follow this up to Mitchell at 83.9

Make a right on Mitchell and go up to 2nd street.

Make a LEFT on 2nd street

Follow 2nd street EAST all the way to Jackson Creek Parkway at mile 85.1

Follow Jackson Creek parkway all the way South to Northgate blvd at mile 90.3

Make a LEFT on NorthGate Blvd at the traffic light–

Go up the hill to Voyager Parkway

Make a right at 90.9 on Voyager

Head back to Mary Kyer Park. And 92.3 miles.
