After I left my dear Crisoba in 1995, I started to work as a Freelance Interpreter/Translator. I first joined a Translating Agency, SITTCO, where I have been translating all kind of documents, such as machinery operating manuals, information systems manuals, medical issues, construction, etc. Some of the companies are GTE (Telephone Operations), Mitsubishi, Pemex. IBM, Coca-Cola, and many others.
I have also worked as a freelance Interpreter, translator and assistant for the following companies: In Mexico: Gtech Corporation (National Lottery Hardware & Software Supplier); Okidata de Mexico, Christel House de Mexico, Moreno Padilla y Asociados, Bay y Asociados, Sonoco Envases, Fandeli, (Manugistic –Manufacturing Planning Software), Samsung Electronics, Crisoba (Scott Paper Company) Anderson Clayton, (DaimlerChrysler Union), and many others.

I started to work as a Personal Computer Specialist and Office Systems Analyst at the Mexico Offices. When the company fused with Kimberly Clark I worked as a Translator/Interpreter for the new Plant in Morelia within the new formed group. I translated about 40 manufacturing and operating manuals for their new paper machine in Morelia. Simultaneously, I worked for almost ten months as a Personal Interpreter and Assistant for the Finance Management during their Fixed Assets System implementation, including translation of their manual and adaptation for Mexican users.

1983 - 1990. SABRITAS, S.A. DE C.V. (Division of PepsiCo Foods International)
I started to work as an assistant for the Finance Vice-president in 1983. After my daughter was born in 1985, I received the offer to lead the Office Automation Project. I started with one workstation and ended up with 250 workstation and 350 users approximately. I was responsible to prepare equipment requirements, installation, training courses preparation and support to users nationwide. I was re-warded by senior management several times because I achieved goals earlier than planned. I was required to train secretarial staff in Brazil, Sao Paolo. I was participating actively translating documentation for my area and for other areas all the time.
1975 - 1982 BOWMAN, S.A. DE C.V. (Division of Barnes Group Inc.)

I started as an assistant to General Manager. After six months I received the challenge to manage the Purchasing Department obtaining excellent results during the testing period (6 months).
· I developed strategies to increase service level from 63% to 93%, which was achieved within 6 months after promotion.
· I solved major technical & functional problems with local and foreign suppliers related to automotive supplying.
· I prepared and monitored purchasing budget for control and status reporting.
· Assisted in preparation of Annual Budget with General Manager.
· Assisted the Headquarters MIS team in developing and implementing automation system. My contribution consisted in defining actual requirements in order to design proper reports for improving inventories carried out.
