RULES:

1.  These shows are sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Assn and their rules shall govern. Only American Dairy Goat Ass’n., American Goat Society and Canadian Goat Society registered, recorded or applied-for animals that are recognized by ADGA as dairy animals may be shown in an official American Dairy Goat Show. The Junior & Senior Shows are separately sanctioned. THE ORDER OF THE SHOW IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

2.  The original registration or recordation certificate is required for all animals six month of age or older. The original registration, recordation certificate or duplicate application stamped by the registry office is required for all animals under six months of age. This must be shown to the show secretary prior to the start of the show. No copies of registration, recordation certificate or stamped duplicate applications, telegrams, or phone calls will be accepted in lieu of the original documents. All names included on one identification number constitute only one membership; therefore, only one exhibitor. Only the ID number on the registration/recordation certificate or on the stamped duplication application is proof of ownership.

4.  THIS IS A FUZZY SHOW-CLIPPING AT DISCRETION OF EXHIBITOR. Horns must be removed.

5.  No health papers are required for Minnesota animals; however, any animal is subject to rejection for unhealthy conditions at the discretion of the show committee. We will follow the ADGA policy on abscesses, which does not allow showing an animal with an abscess that is balding or draining. A vet will be at the show to check health papers and the animals. All out-of- state exhibitors please check with your vet for up to date rules on interstate shipment for showing. An Interstate health certificate/certificate of veterinary inspection will be required. Michigan residents must have TB and Brucellosis tests. Scrapie herd identification must be presented at time of veterinary inspection in order to show.

6.  All animals must be in place by 7am and checked in with a show official. Show will start at 8:00 am with the Senior Doe show and the Junior Doe show will follow..

7.  Entry fees: $4 per animal per show. All animals entered after May 23, 2017 will be $6.00 per head per show.

8.  There will be no pre-show milk out. All milk must be taken home or disposed of properly, NO DUMPING!

9.  There will be a $4.00 pen fee. All exhibitors must provide their own feed, bedding, and equipment. Please place bedding in area designated and take down pens and place in areas assigned for each gate type.

10.  Proper show attire is white or black trousers or skirts and white shirt.

11.  There will be a silent auction held during the show on Saturday. Donations will be taken for this. The silent auction will close on Saturday at approximately 5pm, please check if you won something before leaving.

12.  Camping will be available on the grounds for $25 a night with electric and water hookups. Restrooms with showers will be available. Rooms will be available at the AMERICINN (320-632-1964). They have a pool, hot tub, free continental breakfast and wireless internet.

13.  A Sloppy Joe lunch will be available on Saturday from 11am-4:00 pm, cost: $7 adult/ $4 kids under 10. If you would like to make a donation towards this let us know. Any questions please contact us.

14.  The fairgrounds will be open and available for arrivals on Friday evening after 4pm and Saturday night for people who want to stay over and will need to be out by 10am Sunday morning, with everything cleaned up and put away.

This year we are having a theme with our show. It is Christmas in June. To go along with this we will be having a Ugly Sweater contest that you will be able to vote on, find that ugly sweater and put it on a hanger so we can hang them up to display for voters. A prize will be given to the one with the most votes.
