Highlights of the 9th British Dyslexia Association International Conference
Feedback on the main topics presented and discussed at this Conference. These included a discussion on the allure of neuroscience to support questionable theories, the move away from the single factor (phonological processing) explanation of dyslexia to a multiple deficit model, with a stronger focus on the role language has to play in dyslexia, and a better explanation of co-occurring difficulties such as attention and maths.
