Dear Parents,
Welcome Back!
We would like to welcome you back to school at the beginning of a new academic year and hope that you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break. Here are some helpful reminders regarding school information:-
- Class 2: Mrs Cowper will not be in school this first half term as she is recuperating from a routine operation. We wish her a speedy recovery and look forwards to seeing her back. Therefore, this term we are fortunate to have Mr Feltham teaching Class 2 and welcome him to Brockton.
- Class 3: Please look out for a special folder that contains a letter and a map connected with an upcoming exciting trip that the class is doing in October. We do need replies by next week to confirm bookings so do ask your child about the folder in case they have forgotten to show you!
- Uniform: All the children have started the year looking brilliantly smart in their school uniform – even down to wearing the correct socks or tights. Thank you for supporting our school uniform policy as we really believe that wearing the school uniform makes a difference as it helps children to feel smart and give them a sense of belonging.
- Names on uniform: Please, please, please do ensure that your child’s name is permanently (not penned – it fades) on every item of uniform or kit that comes into school. This will reduce the significant amount of lost property that we collect each term.
- Communication: We try our best to ensure that we keep you as informed as possible about school life and events. Letters are sent home either via email or paper format depending on your preference, we publish a weekly Brockton Bulletin, and also have the school website and Twitter pages (@brocktonprimary).
- P.E Kit: We kindly request thatchildren have their P.E kit in school every day.
- Coats & Waterbottles: It is really important that children bring a waterproof coat and a waterbottle into school each day.
- Clubs: Extra-curricular clubs start up next week; please make sure that you have returned the reply slips in time. Please see the back of this letter for the list of clubs on offer.
- Well Done Assemblies: Please do come along and join us at Well Done Assemblies on Friday mornings at 9.10am in the school hall.
Yours sincerely
S Relph
