BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MINUTES
NEW COLUMBIA, PA
July 22, 2014
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Supervisors of White DeerTownship was held on July 22, 2014. Present were Supervisors Carroll Diefenbach, Donald Wilver, Jr.; Solicitor Peter Matson; and Secretary Charlene Aeppli. The minutes of the June meeting were unanimously approved following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr., and second by Carroll Diefenbach. Supervisor Larry Seibert was absent.
OLD BUSINESS:
Following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr., and second by Carroll Diefenbach, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve the payment of bills as set forth on the bill sheet dated July 22, 2014 the same totaling $18,174.60.
NEW BUSINESS
Following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr. and second by Carroll Diefenbach, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to table amending Section 6 of Ordinance #28 regulating open burning in the Village Zoning Districts.
Following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr. and second by Carroll Diefenbach, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve Ordinance #47 to amend Section 3 of Ordinance #31 eliminating the fees for the fireworks permit.
Following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr., and second by Carroll Diefenbach, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve Eric Moser to purchase the 1996 F250 Ford Truck with plow for a bid of $4,537.01. The other bids are:
1. Thomas Weaver $4,150.00
2. Robert Enterline 2,200.00
3. Bradley Boyer 3,001.00
Following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr., and second by Carroll Diefenbach, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve a letter to be written to Penn Dot for Brake Retarder on Old 15.
Following a motion by Donald Wilver, Jr. and second by Carroll Diefenbach, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve purchasing a new cinder spreader box from Bradco in the amount of $22,220.40. No bids needed if purchase through CoStar. Tarco place a quote for $29,471.75.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
There was about 30 Township Residents attending the meeting concerning the burning ordinance opposing to open fires in the Village District
Mr. Van McBryon expressed concern that the Ordinance discriminated against Village District residents.
Ardith Wilkins commented on the ordinances not being on the website. Solicitor Peter Matson response was the ordinance is in a stage of being consolidated into one disk and with so many ordinances changes, it would be too hard to place them on a website.
Mr. Ed Kline question weight of the trucks crossing Strahan Road.

Solicitor Peter Matson responded to the Cable Agreement to discuss the changes when all of the Supervisors were here.

There being no further business, adjournment was moved by Donald Wilver, Jr., and seconded by Carroll Diefenbach, with unanimous approval by the Supervisors.
