Duration: 2 years

Client: State Bank Of India

Employer: Tata Consultancy Services

DESCRIPTION: The main purpose of the project was to provide a solution

for state bank of India group (famously known as SBI group). The goal was to

develop one or more than one application which will facilitate the client (State

Bank of India branches. The entire solution is divided into three parts: a corporate

General Ledger package, a centralized core banking solutions, a trade finance

application. I have worked in first two packages (mainly core banking solution).

The core banking application is distributed and multi threaded in nature and

runs on HP-UX operating system. The database is ORACLE 9i and the front end

system for the end user is a server mainly based on IIS and windows 2000 server.

The language for the back end is COBOL and C where the language for front end

development involves from HTML, XML, JavaScript and .NET based

technologies. The production system is a HP – SUPERDOME.

Corporate General Ledger package employs same technology at the back end and

at the front end it involves JAVA.

My responsibilities included every phase of project management at various

stages of the development. I have done requirement collection, design, coding,

testing and deployment for various functionalities. The technical assignments

required the technical skills that I have described in COMPUTER SKILLS

section. The responsibilities that I completed are:

(i)  Inventory system of the bank (Total Development)

(ii)  Entire cheque clearing system. (Total Development)

(iii)  Entire remittance processing system (Total Development)

(iv)  Entire standing instruction processing system (Total Development)

Employer: IBM Global Services (India)

DESCRIPTION: In this assignment, I was a part of the team that is

responsible for maintaining and enhancing a datawarehousing application of

AT&T corporation (currently owned by SBC corporation). This application is built

to assist the sales and marketing division in making decisions. The application

takes data feeds from various operational data stores, gather the data together and

represent the summarized and detail data with the web based interface. The ETL

server used in the procedure is made of shell scripts and C programs (NCR Unix).

The web interface is custom built with cold fusion, MPI and websphere. The same

system has an interface with NCR TCRM software with which I have some

familiarity.
