Men’s Conference!

Grace and Peace to you and the men of your Church!

Sponsored by: Powered by the Lord Ministries and CCBC @ RSM

You are at very exciting event that God put on our heart to produce. It is a men’s conference unlike any you have been to before! The speakers are men called into full time ministry who are taking classes to become Pastors. They have a fresh view of how to live Godly lives in the 21st century. Each will give a 10-15 minute exhortation on a particular topic relevant to men today. It will be a time of challenge and growth!

We desire for men to get empowered to face the challenges of life as well as to stand firm against the attacks of the devil. If all we do is increase your knowledge than we have failed. If you come and leave with a heart felt desire to have your life poured out for Jesus Christ than we have been successful.
Bringing revival to the church, one man at a time!
Prepare to get renewed vision for your life and strength to be a man of God ready for the battle!
NOTE: You can buy ‘Powered by the Lord’ T-shirts, hats, etc. Go to the Powered by the Lord table! You can also order more!

Get ready for a great time of fellowship, praise, and renewal. It’ s time to saddle up, release the hounds, and go on the offensive for the Kingdom of Heaven!

PRAYING ALWAYS

Randy Felten

I THESSALONIANS 5:17-18

16Rejoice always, 17pray without ceasing, 18in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

EPHESIANS 6:18

18praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Philippians 4: 6,7

6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

WHAT IS PRAYER?

Prayer is simply communicating with God. It is a dialog between two who love each other, God and man. Prayer to God completes the fellowship element in our relationship with Him. We respond back to God in prayer after He speaks to us through His Word. In this manner, you share your heart with the One who long for your companionship!.

“PRAYER DOES NOT DEPEND ON OUR FEELINGS OR CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT THE FAITHFULNESS AND WILLINGNESS OF GOD”

“PRAYER IS NOT MEASURED BY TIME BUT BY INTENSITY”

“BECAUSE GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES EVERY CHRISTIAN CAN HAVE A PRAYER LIFE THAT PRODUCES LASTING RESULTS BOTH PERSONALLY AND IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD”

CHARLES H. SPURGEON

JESUS OUR PRAYER EXAMPLE

l. Pray before making important decisions

Luke 6: 12-13

12Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles:

How much time have you spent in prayer about the important decisions in your lives this past year?

Luke 22: 30-46

31And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.32But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

Luke 22: 30-46

39Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. 40When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

41And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, 42saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”43Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

45When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. 46Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”

When you are in agony and prayer is the hardest thing to do, do you bear down and pray or do you bail out?

JESUS PRAYS FOR HIS DISCIPLES

JOHN 17: 9-17

“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.10And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.11Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.13But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.14I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.15I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.16They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.17Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

JESUS INTERCEDES FOR US

34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

The Transformed Mind

– Steve Carr

Romans 12:1 through Romans 12:2 (NIV)
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritualact of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Terms Defined

Not conformed, but transformed
