□By the end of Summer 2016, complete with a C or better the following 9 prerequisite courses: English 101, English 102, Applied Communication Studies 101, CMIS (or CS) 108, Economics 111, Economics 112, Mathematics 120 or 125, Accounting 200 and Management Science 250.
How do I apply?

ESSAY
- The Required Essay will be used, in tandem with academic records, to make admission decisions.
- The Optional Essay is your opportunity to provide additional information about your personal qualities and life experiences.
- Regardless of GPA, the Required Essay must be appropriate and written at a collegiate-level to be considered for admission.
- The Required Essay will be electronically screened to verify individual originality of the essay and to ensure that portions have not been copied from other sources without proper attribution. Students who submit essays written by other students or have plagiarized portions of their essays are rejected.
- You must electronically submit the essay(s) for this admission cycle. If using your essay from a previous admission cycle, you must submit the essay again, by the deadline, to be considered in this admission cycle.
Instructions:
- Type your essay(s)all in one file and save as an MS Word Document.
- Your essay(s) should be double spaced.

Required Essay: In no more than 750 words, please respond to the following:
A generous business education foundation is accepting scholarship applications from students who are completing a business degree. As a part of the scholarship application students are required to reflect on their major choice and discuss in writing their interests in their major and their progress as a student. Your task is to write the essay to accompany the Scholarship application. Because the Scholarship Committee is very busy, your essay must be complete enough to convince them that you are a worthy recipient of the Scholarship in no more than 750 words. All essays are required to address at least the following:
1)Explain your interest in the major you selected. You may describe a related experience you’ve had to that area of study and/or your future career goals;
2)Discuss the qualities which you believe are necessary to be successful in the major you have selected; and
3)Discuss your biggest weaknesses as a student and indicate how you plan to address or overcome those weaknesses as you pursue your selected major.
Optional Essay: Respond to the following question if you would like the admission committee to have additional information about your personal qualities and life experiences. In 750 words or fewer, please answer the following:
What unique personal qualities or life experiences might distinguish you from other applicants? How will this enhance your experience and that of other students in the SIUE School of Business?
