The Commodore’s Ball is set forAugust 18th, 2012. It will be held in the main club house. More information will be forthcoming as the date gets nearer.

F/C Halliburtonis having ongoing work parties starting at 8:00 a.m. Dave has a long list of projects and is looking for someone to help Rich Miklaucic change over all of the pod boat plugs to GFI outlets. This must be done to be in compliance with the new Fairport Harbor marina license regulations

Commodore Roberti introduced full member Bob Lambert, CPA as the new Assistant Treasurer. He will be performing the duties previously done for us by Kolita and Co CPA firm. This will save the club approx. $2500 a year in professional fees.

Planning is currently working on getting all of its facts and figures in order to make a complete presentation to the membership for replacing the decrepit boardwalk with a new 170 foot long steel wall.

The Large Boat Committee made its proposal to the membership. The membership asked questions mainly about dock specifications but seemed to be in favor of the proposal. The committee will go back and a draw up a formal proposal to be presented in the form of a motion at the March meeting. We would like to welcome the following new members:

New Associate this month was Ron Glowacki. We have taken in three new full members so far this year; David Scott, Bernard Szymczak, and Bob Fowler please welcome them all into our club.

Asof the start of 2012Annual Meeting the following membership changes were made.

Full to Privileged: Lou Meden and Jerry Michalak.

Full Members who resigned: Mike Heidenrich, Ken Olsen and David Pierce.

Full Members who did not pay their dues: Mike Miller, James Thomas, and Alfred DePasquale.

Associate Member who resigned: Jerry Allee.

Privileged Associate who resigned: John Lind

Privileged Associates who did not pay their dues: Mike Pearlman, Maynard Farren, and Frank Zalek.

As of this writing we now have 114 full members, 14 associates, 28 privileged associates, 12 honorary.

A new year of boating will be coming on us soon. Don’t forget to send a copy of your insurance declarations page to V/C Urbanek.He has the members who are due in January, February and March posted on the bulletin board in club house. Please remember that no proof of insurance (per Article XIV, Section 6 of the Bylaws) is a $100 per month fine.

Bob Smith is looking for local business’s to advertise in the roster.

R/CMaze is making up the schedule for night watch and club house clean up. If you have a conflict with any dates please contact him by the March meeting.Remember it is up to you to find a substitute if you cannot make your assigned day. Paul has been trying to get a handle on the key situation at the club. He has given all of the Board members a key to the lock box. The hope is that a board member will be at the club and be able get the keys out of the box to aid if a situation arises.

The 400 Club tickets are being printed and will be available in March.
