BAG DISTRIBUTORS

Pre scheduled walkers arrive at the M&K car park from 6.45am onwards, there would be two to three groups each day, each group comprises of three to four distributors assigned per trainer. The trainer is provide with pre typed time sheets for the day (can be found in shared docs under” Tony”).

The bags & maps will be the responsibility of either Klaud or Laurianne. Each worker has to distribute 750 bags per shift (four hours). There should not be any returns. On completion of the shift all trainers will see Tony if any issues need to be discussed or will hand over time sheets & maps to reception, receptionist on duty will scan & e-mail maps to Vic Clothing.

Please sign this form to verify that the hours are correct. It is hereby agreed that the hours stated are actual hours worked. It is further agreed that the work was performed satisfactorily.

Tony in conjunction of Laurriane will organise the roster on a daily basis, on completion would contact individual workers & trainers informing them of work for the following day. If any of the workers is unable to work the shift, workers that is not rostered for the day can be offered an extra shift. Trainers usually inform reception or Tony of any changes to their roster. The weekly roster is e-mailed to all trainers involved with the bag distribution job.

The Moorabbin distributors have now come under the maintenance of the Dandenong office. The distribution takes place on Mon & Wed; Natalia & Erica have been seconded as trainers. The maps is scanned & e-mailed to Klaud , time sheets faxed to the Dandenong office. The trainers write out client time sheets at the Moorabbin office. The trainer collects the bag & map from the warehouse at their convenience.

The distributors get paid by VCE & Ragman’s on a Wednesday; all time sheets must be in by Monday the latest. Klaud e-mails Steve & Tony the progress payments each week, the individual site payments must be forwarded to Nikki, Paul H & Tammy (Pakenham office) rob, Stuart & David (Cranbourne office).The client weekly earnings will be recorded in the VCE & Ragman’s Excel spread sheet which can be found in shared doc’s. Tony will enter the Dandenong client’s hours worked & gross wages earned in client journal note (maintenance) Check snap shot for outcome & placement fees & e-mail Steve & case manager.

Employing new distributors

Case managers will inform Tony if clients wish to be part of the distribution team. Candidates will be interviewed & inducted. The induction kit containing.

An unpaid work trial must be under taken by potential workers prior to commencing work as a distributor. An experienced trainer will be seconded & date & time arranged, preferably on same day as interview & induction.

One completion of the induction, the completed forms will be handed over to Klaud. Case manager will complete the ‘Work trial form” & signed by all parties, the completed form will be handed back to the case manger.

The trainer will inform either the case manger or Tony on the outcome of the trial, if successful, new name will be entered in the weekly roster & client informed of the two days of work. The case managers are aware of clients with a bench mark of eight hours to be introduced to the program.

Job Description for Warehouse workers:

Start Time: 7.00am or 8.00am

Finish Time: 12.30pm 0r 1.00pm.

Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $15.51 per hour.

Address: 60-68 Sarton Road Calyton.

Transport; own transport preferable, or can commute by public transport. Five minute walk from bus stop (Chadston bus).

Conveyor Belt

(1)  Opening bags and loading onto belt.

(2)  Transporting cage holding donation bags onto weigh bridge and then to conveyor belt area

(3)  Opening and emptying contents of bags onto table (clothing to be placed on conveyor belt for sorting)

(4)  Documenting cage number, weight and time when starting on new cage.

(5)  Your responsibility will be to keep the work area tidy, clean and safe(i.e. all walk ways to be kept clear)

(6)  Re filling / emptying of full bails along the conveyor belt.

Unloading Truck/van:

Manual unloading of van/truck filled with bags of clothes.

Filling cages with bags (clothes).

Placing bags with shoes, belts and leather bags in designated cages.

Wheeling the filled cages onto weighing platform for weight documentation.

(1)  bags filled with hard goods to be taken to Hard goods sorting area( Bric-a -Brac Department)

(2)  Shoes bags going into the cage next to the shoes sorting table.

Working on the Floor

Helping girls working on the conveyor: emptying bins (Hats/ Scarves etc.)

Helping girls working in bric-a-brac section: putting hard things on table/ cleaning up the table i.e. putting boxes in designated table.

Providing work for the girls for the second sorting

Operating Bail Press machine

Ability to operate bail press in a safe and timely manner i.e. packing targets met.

Communicate with klaud as to when work trials will commence, inform Nick or laurianne. Enter the job/s in ESS & DVJS data base, send advertise job/s via e-mail to all sites. On receiving names of potential candidate, if possible make appointment to interview & discuss job description with client. If unable to get to the warehouse, arrange with Nick to meet at the Dandenong train station to accompany to Clayton, advice client of bus fare. I usually meet the client at the office & drive to the warehouse. Introduce to Klaud & trainer, site induct & hand over to trainer.

Meet with Klaud at the end of the trial to discuss the outcome of the work trial, if successful he/she will be advised on commencement day & shift time, advice case manager & complete journal note. Complete & anchor job in ESS. Enter start date & forms in ESS, complete WS & AWS forms & take to Klaud for signing. Make sure that the trainer is present until such time both Klaud & worker is confident to be working with minimum supervision. Visit workers on a regular basis, his is part of maintenance.

Samples & Recycled Clothing Shop

Klaud will contact Tony to advice of a vacancy in the Samples & Recycled Clothing shop situated inUnit 4 No24-28 Chester Street Oakleigh. The jobs are mainly for females. Follow same procedure as warehouse jobs. It is important to interview potential candidates for the sales assistant jobs. On finalising date & time (Klaud will inform) meet client at Oakleigh train station & accompany to the shop, at the shop Klaud or Laurianne will take over, after the trail, if client need assistance with travelling meet client at the shop & accompany back to station.

Job description for retail assistant

We require the services of a highly motivated, result focused individual who will enjoy the challenge of a retail environment. The store primarily sells a vast variety recycled goods ranging from clothing, to toys, to electrical goods and bric-a-brac.
The successful retail assistant will be responsible, in assisting their store manager in the following tasks, tagging/pricing of garments, hanging of garments, cleaning garments, general housekeeping, and assisting in customer service. Naturally you will have a commitment to excellent customer service, high level of interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
The Successful applicant will receive, extensive training. Weekend work will be required.

Rate of pay: Casual $19.38

Must be available for a minimum of 2 by 4hr shifts.

Note all work trials is unpaid & for four hours. The second trial if requested by Klaud will be paid, both for warehouse & factory.
