14. Description of Amendment/Modification (Organized by UCF section headings, including solicitation/contract subject matter where feasible.)

The purpose of this Amendment is to:

1) The proposal due date is hereby extended to Aug 18, 2017, at 2:00 PM, EST.

2) RFI due date extended to Aug 7, 2017 at 9:00 AM, EST.

3). All terms and conditions of the RFP remain unchanged.

  1. Question #2 M-002 Phase IV, note 2 states to provide a temporary on-site truck washing service – please provide more details

Answer: The offeror identified a phasing requirement to provide an on-site truck washing service and water recovery service. This is necessary when the oil water separator is replaced.

There are various firms in the marketplace that offer this service. NIST is not endorsing any particular firm. A Google search revealed this firm -

In order to quantify the number of truck washes – NIST specifies that in a work week (Monday to Friday) that twice per week up to 7 vehicles would have to be washed. The vehicles would be pre-positioned to be washed during one visit per day.

The number of weeks needed would be dependent on how quickly the contractor can complete the phased construction for the identified phase (IV) noted on drawing M-002.
