BYLAWS APPLICABLE TO MIKLWOOD CARAVAN PARK
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND SIGN!
- Right of Admission and occupation reserved.
- All campers must report to the RECEPTION OFFICE on arrival.
- NO pets are permitted.
- Campers must provide their own braai equipment
- NO fireworks or fires other than the braai equipment specifically utilised for braai fires, are permitted.
- All sites are provided with 10-Amp electrical supply and campers must remain within limits.
- Milkwood school and management council is hereby indemnified from all losses and damage to person or property of campers and their guests.
- Tariffs per sites are for a maximum of 6 persons (children included), one vehicle, one caravan and its attached tent. It is the camper’s duty to report and pay for additional overnight visitors and vehicles or tents on his/her site.
- Tariffs are subject to change without prior notice and the new outstanding balance on the account must be paid on arrival.
- Damage to trees, installations and facilities are strictly forbidden. Household washing machines, tumble driersand swimming pools are strictly forbidden.
- Entrance to the caravan and tent sites only via the gates provided, climbing over fences constitutes an offence. Gates open from 05:30 to 22:00. All after-hour entrances via the caravan park gate. Campers may under no circumstances acquire gate keys.
- All outstanding amounts to be paid before sites are occupied. No site may be occupied between 22:00 and 06:00 unless prior arrangement has been made with the caravan park office. Extension to bookings to be arranged before 10:00 on the day of departure. No person may remain on site after 10:00 on the day of departure without arranging and paying for the proposed extension of tenure at the site office.
- Campers are responsible for the actions and behaviour of their guests.
- Silence in the CaravanPark between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00.
- Camping only permitted on registered and allocated sites. All vehicles, tents, caravans and parafinalia to be kept within the boundaries of the allocated sites.
- No parking on unoccupied sites. Vehicles found on unoccupied sites will be removed at the owner’s expense. It is the duty of the campers to ensure that their guests do not transgress this rule.
- A caravan means any vehicle self-propelled or not which is permanently fitted out for use by persons for living and sleeping purposes.
- The bookings of late arrivals or No Show’s, will be cancelled at 10:00 on the day following the non-arrival unless prior arrangements have been made. Deposits paid for such sites will be forfeited and only 50% of the balance paid will be refunded for that period that the site could be re-let on representation to the Caravan Park Committee.
- It is expected of campers and their guests that they behave in such a manner that respects the privacy, person and possessions of their fellow campers.
- The wilful flouting and/or refusal to comply with the rules or unsociable behaviour by campers or their guests will be sufficient grounds for refusing to renew a booking or to accept an application form for another booking by the registered occupant of the site or his/her immediate family. In extreme cases, the occupants of a site may be requested to vacate his/her site and to depart from the CaravanPark without compensation.
- In cases of dispute between the campers or their guests that are referred to the site manager for solution, the decision of the site manager will be final and accepted by all parties.
- In cases of emergency, the campers and their guests are expected to cooperate with, and assist, any member of the SAPS, Fire Services and Management if requested to do so.
- Payment may be made via CASH, CHEQUE, OR BANK TRANSFERS. The onus is on the camper to ensure that a copy of the BANK TRANSFER is submitted/faxed to Milkwood Primary as proof of payment by the respective due date. POST DATED cheques ARE NOT acceptable. PLEASE NOTE that FINALpayment is due no later than 31st OCTOBER.
- This information is to be read together with the official Application Form.

Your application for a camp site at Milkwood Caravan Park for the 2016/2017 season refers.

A provisional booking will only be made on receipt of a minimum non-refundable deposit of R1000.00 accompanied by a newly completed application form.

To enable me to make a provisional booking, please send your deposit of R1000 together with the application form back as soon as possible. You can either post a cheque, made out to MilkwoodPrimary School or deposit directly into our First National Bank Account (details below) and fax the deposit slip to the school. Please ensure that the name of the occupant, and not that of the person making the deposit, as well as the site number, is shown on the deposit slip (under “Reference”).

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE INTEND TO ADHERE TO OUR POLICY OF A MINIMUM BOOKING PERIOD OF 14 DAYS/NIGHTS for caravan sites (sites C89-98 minimum booking period 18 days) and 10 DAYS/NIGHTS for tents. If your booking period does not meet with the minimum requirements (i.e. less than 14/10 days) your application will be put on a waiting list and you will be informed at the end of November if you can be accommodated or not. Preference will be given to applications of 14 days for caravans and 10 days for tents, or longer.

Our media centre has been converted into a 6-sleeper “flat” with its own shower, toilet, lounge/dining room, kitchen and DSTV for the December holiday period. A minimum booking period of 14 days at R1400.00 per day will adhered to. If your booking period does not meet with the minimum requirements your application will be put on a waiting list and preference will be given to applications of 14 days or longer.

MILKWOOD CARAVAN PARK COMMITTEE
BOOKINGS – 2016/2017
Due to various problems experienced the current year, which adds an extra admin burden on the office, stricter measures and rules are going to apply for the 2016/2017.
(1)A booking will only be made once an application form (new one for every year) AND a deposit of R1000 has been received. Should you want to secure your sight for 2016/2017, a new application form must be handed in now, together with the deposit of R1000. Please ensure that you have either a fax number or e-mail address where correspondence can be sent to. Ensure that all details are filled in on the application form and that the form is signed.
(2)Deposit slips for bookings made during the year MUST please be faxed or e-mailed to school when submitting an application form, for attention MRS SWART. For references on deposit slip, please write down your surname and site number e.g. P.Brown C10!
(3)Should any of your details change during the year after completing an application form, the onus is on you to notify the office of such changes. Problems were experienced with the contacting of a vast number of campers, whose details had changed, resulting in the cancellation of their sites.
(4)Please note that the minimum booking period will be adhered to at all times and exceptions will only be made were a booking can run concurrently with another person’s booking.
(5)No cars will be allowed in or out the caravan park during 22:00 and 06:00 unless a medical emergency or if prior arrangement has been made with the caravan park office.
(6)We reserve the right to limit the number of visitors to your site.
BESPREKINGS – 2016/2017
Verskeie probleme is die huidige jaar ondervind met ons besprekings. Die plaas ‘n onnodige las op die kantoor en as gevolg, gaan strenger maatreëls toegepas word vir die 2016/2017 besprekingstydperk:
(1)Besprekings sal slegs gemaak word indien daar ‘n deposito van R1000 betaal is met die indiening van ‘n aansoekvorm. Sou u dus u staanplek vir 2016/2017 wil verseker, moet daar nou reeds ‘n nuwe aansoekvorm voltooi word en die deposito van R1000 betaal word. Gee asb ‘n fax nommber of e-pos adres op die aansoekvorm waar korrespondensie gestuur kan word en maak seker dat alle inligting op die aansoekvorm voltooi is en die vorm geteken is.
(2)Depositostorkies van alle depositos wat deur die jaar gemaak word, MOET asb gefaks of ge-epos word na die kantoor, vir aandag MEV SWART. Meld asb u naam en staanplek nommer by verwysing, m.a.w. P.BLOM C10!
(3)Sou dit gebeur dat enige van u besonderhede deur die loop van die jaar verander, stel asb. die kantoor in kennis. Ons het geweldige probleme ondervind met kampeerders wie se besonderhede verander het wat veroorsaak het dat hulle besprekings gekanselleer is.
(4)Die minimum besprekings tydperk sal ten alle tye toegepas word, en uitsonderings sal slegs gemaak word waar die bespreking aaneenlopend met ‘n ander bespreking is!
(5)Geen motorssal tussen 22:00 en 06:00 by die hekke in- en uitgelaat word nie. (Slegs in die geval van 'n ernstige mediese probleem sal dit toegelaat word).
(6)Kampbestuur behou die reg om die getal mense per staanplek te beperk.
