OVERVIEW:TheAmerican Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS)are sponsoring fifteen (15) spots for Young Investigator (YI) poster presentations at the upcoming AAOS/ORS Biologic Treatments for Orthopaedic Injuries (BTOI) Research Symposium, November 5-7, 2015, in Rosemont, IL.Selected Young Investigators will have the opportunity to present their research during the poster sessionand learn fromexperienced mentors in the field.The AAOS is seeking abstracts in the area of biologics, including platelet rich plasma (PRP), minimally manipulated adult progenitor cells, tendinopathy or tissue repair, and scaffold-base treatment methods of musculoskeletal injuries. Of the 15 selected abstracts for poster presentations, four will be chosen to give podium presentations (one from each major topic area). Selected YIs will receive airfare, lodging, and meals at the event.

ELIGIBILITY:BTOI Young Investigator applications are open to any MD, PhD, or MD/PhD whose research involves biologic treatments of orthopaedic injuries.Post docs, medical residents in any specialty, and junior faculty (no more than 7 years beyond training) are invited to apply.

Abstract submissions will be reviewed by the symposium chairs.
