Benchmark Lexile Report

See Benchmark View for the main Benchmark Help topic. This topic provides report examples and selection information.

Lexile measures are the most widely used reading metrics. Linking aimsweb assessment results with Lexile measures provides a mechanism for targeting each student's reading ability with text on a common scale.

These enhanced aimsweb benchmark reports for grades 1-12 provide the option to report a Lexile measure for each student's R-CBM or Maze score.

The Lexile report allows a teacher to:

  • effectively target instruction and monitor reading growth.
  • find instructional resources that match each student's unique reading ability.
  • directly link to the free "Find a Book" search tool to select fiction and nonfiction titles that match each student's reading ability and interests.
