I. GSS Elections Continued
To fill the positions of Treasurer and Secretary nominations were accepted and voting took place
Treasurer Nominations:
Rehab Elkhayat, seconded
Caitlin Owens, nomination declined
Basel Alnajjab, nomination declined
Secretary Nominations:
Wyntre Stout, seconded
Lean Fang, seconded
Results of voting: Rehad Elkhayat and Wyntre Stout were elected to their respective positions
II. E-board Opening Statements
Gorgi thanked Joe Brague, the previous E-board, Amy, and Kathleen for their assistance in the nomination and election process.
Gorgi also reiterated his plans for the upcoming year which include:
Plans to increase diversity and inclusion by working with the undergraduate student body, try to revamp parking system, create a working group to identify opportunities to improve housing conditions, support the current graduate students at Suacon Village.
Additionally explore financial sustainability to best serve all graduate students through the programs we offer. Increasing professional development opportunities to give better resources to students as they try to take the next step in their careers.
Other new E-board members gave brief statements thanking their supporters
III. Input from Unit Reps on Important Issues
There were many issues raised from the General Assembly including:
●  Parking!!!
●  Off campus grad students: City of Bethlehem paying more if you are out of state, one per building
●  Disseminate plans for the meeting (meeting agenda 2 days prior)
●  Not necessarily speakers from outside at each meeting
●  Fit in updates from committees, focus more on internal organization and discussion
●  UG senate working groups -> GSS working groups
●  Office of Tech Transfer involvement
●  IM grad student league (Jane Josephson, Bill Leone) summer softball league, ping pong tournament,
●  Facilities Committee
●  Library - graduate study area
●  Career Services preparation for the Academic Job Market
●  Dissertation Bootcamp, have more of them during the end of semesters

IV. Announcements
Summer
●  Finals are coming up soon. Keep studying and/or grading
●  Summer meetings will be held in the STEPS Building, more details to come
