Admission Prices

Team will receive 20 admissions per team to be used for Players, Managers, and Coaches.

Day rates and weekend rates should accommodate the needs of all who attend. All the prices listed include programs. Student definition is 6 - 17 years of age. Children admission will be listed as 5 years and under for free admission.

This website, designed by Hockey Alberta will be kept up to date with general tournament information, progress of the teams as well as community events during the Provincials.

Team Information

A. Information Release Form

Hockey Alberta requires that prior to posting team player information, a Release of Information Form must be completed. This form will allow host sites to print photos of the team in their program, post them on bulletin boards and have player names and numbers recorded on the website. The Host Committee will be forwarding this to the qualifying teams. In order to ensure that we have the correct pronunciations of player names, please provide our host committee with a separate sheet of spelling and of what the name sounds like

B. Photo and Team Player List for Program

A Team photo and list identifying the players by rows in the photo will be placed in the Tournament Program. The above release form will need to be completed prior to printing.

D. Team Hosts and Associates

To make your experience truly enjoyable and memorable, we have assigned to your team, a Team Host and Mannville Hawks Associate.

These individuals will be available for your team throughout the weekend to make your hockey experience in Mannville an enjoyable one!

Please bring an extra team Jersey for your Team Host and Associate to wear to “boast” your team. Introductions will take place at the Managers and Coaches meeting. Remember that your team host will be an adult, so please bring a jersey big enough for the team host.

E. Zone Banners

The Host Committee asks that you bring a banner be carried out with your team in the Opening Ceremonies. If your team would prefer the host can provide a banner for your team for $60

2. Accommodations Information

Mannville has a limited number of accommodations within the community, however the surrounding communities are well equipped to accommodate the needs of the weekend: Vegreville, Lloydminster and Vermilion.

Accommodations have been block booked by the Host Committee for each Zone - guaranteed 25 rooms. Once you have qualified, Hockey Alberta will notify the Chairperson of your team contact information. You will receive a call from the Chairperson alerting you to the name and location of your accommodations.

3. Food Services

Hockey Concession Booth: Run by Mannville Minor Hockey, our concession

Booth is well known for its delicious homemade burgers, pies and squares and Taco Salad in A Bag!. Along with the favorites Fries and Gravy and Poutine, Hotdogs and Chicken Nuggets are also on the menu. To settle your sweet tooth, a variety of chocolate bars, licorice and candy fill the shelves. A variety of fruit juices, powerade, pop and coffee are readily available.

On Sunday, a Ham and Egg Breakfast Bun will also be on the menu.

Breakfasts: Friday and Saturday Morning 7 am – 11 am

The local community groups will be preparing the tasty breakfasts of Pancakes, sausages, eggs, coffee and juice.

Prices for the breakfasts are: 16 years old and up - $7.00

6-15 years old & seniors - $5.00

0-5 years old - free

Banquet : Friday 5 pm – 7 pm at the Rec Centre

The local Agricultural Society along with community members will be serving a delicious banquet consisting of Chicken Fetticini Alfredo, Spaghetti and Meatball with tomato sauce, Ceasar salad, Garlic toast, dessert, coffee and juice.

To avoid a rush at the door, AdvanceTickets will be available Friday until 12:00 noon at the Arena EntranceTable, however the organizing committee would prefer to have as many advance ticket sales done before you come. This would allow us to have all of your tickets ready for your team at the coaches meeting on Thursday night.

Prices for the banquet are: 16 years old and up - $15.00

6-15 years old & seniors - $10.00

0-5 years old – free

Each team will receive 20 complementary tickets to the banquet.

The following is the recommended criteria for a team to be eligible to be selected as the Play SMART Team for the Tournament.

Award Criteria:

The team selected as the PLAY SMART Team for the tournament will be the team that best reflects the philosophy of the Play SMART by demonstrating positive attitudes that will include, but not limited to:

-Team Officials provide equal opportunities to every member of their team regardless of the situation

-Limited number of “unsportsmanlike” type penalties assessed [ie: abuse of officials, checking from behind, check to the head, major or match penalties, etc]

-Team participates with safety as a consideration

-Team. Coaching Staff and Parents show RESPECT to and for the following: Opponents

6.  Ceremonies

Opening

Friday 5:45 pm – 6:15 pm. All 8 qualifying Zone Champions and their coaches and managers will be introduced as they parade on to the ice surface. Team Host and Associates will be your leaders on to the ice. Those teams playing prior to the Opening Ceremonies will be asked to return to their dressing rooms but to remain in their Hockey equipment. Those teams playing immediately after the Opening Ceremonies will also be in their dressing rooms. The remaining four teams will line up respectively in the Dressing Room hallway. Teams will enter the ice surface in order by Zone. There will be a short program then the teams will exit, the ice will be flooded and the games will resume.

Closing

Sunday 7:30 pm A short program, to congratulate the teams and announce the 2007 Hockey Alberta Investors Group ATOM C Provincial Champs will be held after the final game

b. Emergency Services:

[hospital] An acute Care Health Centre is located in Vermilion, staffed with a lab, x-ray and emergency services.

[fire] Mannville Fire Department Volunteers are proud to protect life and property within the Village of Mannville and area. They respond to a variety of calls, some of which are medical assists for the local Ambulance, vehicle accidents, structural fires and grass fires.
