BAPTISMS

Baptisms are every Sunday at 1:00 PM. Parents are asked to call the Parish Center and speak with the Priest or Deacon who is on call and who will assist them in registering their child for Baptism. The Church assists the parents by offering instruction on the meaning, importance, and responsibilities of the sacrament of Baptism. A Pre-Jordan Baptismal Program for helping parents prepare for the spiritual birth of their child is held on the fourth Sunday of the month in the Spirituality Center following the Noon Mass.

WEDDINGS

All Masses in Church

The Feast of Mary’s Assumption commemorates that Mary was assumed body and soul into heaven at the moment of her death. Through the resurrection of Jesus, God revealed that resurrection and new life would be given to all who live their life in the spirit of Jesus. The Assumption of Mary is seen as God fulfilling that promise to Mary. The Church calls people to see in this glorification of Mary the assurance of their own resurrection.

History of Saint Anselm Parish

A History of Saint Anselm Parish is now being written and will soon be published. This 50 year History Book will be a descriptive and pictorial history.

Patrons, Memorials, and Business Ads will be inscribed in the 50 year History Book. You are invited to have your name placed in the Book as a Patron; and/or to have the name of a deceased loved one memorialized in the Book.

Businesses are also invited to sponsor the publication of the history by placing their Business Ad in the Book. If you know someone who owns a business, please invite them to place their Ad in the Book.

Please use the forms that have been mailed to you to submit your patron, memorial, and business ad. Additional forms are available at the Parish Center or you may copy the forms mailed to you. Please submit your form(s) by August 15th 2012.

Everyone who becomes a patron or places a memorial or business ad will be given an Anniversary History Book of Saint Anselm Parish.

Vincentian Message…

In this Gospel we find that for Jesus, the cost is the cross. The love that Jesus reveals through the symbol of the cross is self-giving, sacrificial, healing, forgiving, in solidarity with the weak, and confident in the power of God.

During the hot summer months, many of the elderly, especially those who are sick, are not able to find relief from the heat. Please help the Society to bring respite and hope to them.
