ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
PURPOSE
The intent of the scholarship is to help alleviate the financial burden associated with the pursuit of higher education at BaylorUniversity. It is our desire to reward hard working, dedicated and committed students.
CRITERIA
1.Scholarship applicants must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 semesterhours.
2.Scholarship applicants must have completed a minimum of 36 hours atBaylor University.
3.Scholarship applicants must have an overall GPA of 2.8 on a scale of 4.0.
4.Scholarship applicants must demonstrate a financial need.
5.Scholarship applicants must submit a typed essay of a least 300 words and no more than 500 words. The essay should be double-spaced and properly referenced with citations.
6.Scholarship applicants must participate in a 30 minute interview with the scholarship selection committee.
7.Scholarship applicants must submit a COMPLETED application.
8.Scholarship applicants must submit a scannedUNOFFICIAL copy of their transcript.
9.Interviews will be conducted during the month of Marchon the Baylor University campus.
DISTRIBUTION
The scholarship will be awarded bi-annually prior to the fall and spring semester. The recipient will receive $1,000-$1,500 to be distributed in two (2) equal payments of $500-$750 per semester.
