United In Serving Our Community

GFWC of York County, a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, is proud to offer 2 (two) $1500 college scholarships to 2 (two) York County high school students whose parent is currently on active duty, reservist or a veteran. This scholarship is available for the 2017-2018 school year and can be used at any post-graduate school. Scholarship money will be sent directly to the school for tuition.

Applicants should complete the accompanying form and return it to their guidance counselor by Wednesday April 19, 2017. Two other recommendations are requested—one from a teacher and one from another adult with personal knowledge of the student’s reputation or achievements. Letters of recommendation and applications will be collected from counselors on FridayApril 28, 2017. Selection will be made by the club on the basis of both need and merit and announced by May 8, 2017.
