STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS

OBJECTIVE: This Practical Exercise measures your ability to manage the personnel readiness data of the unit status report (USR) in the role as a Battalion USR Manager. You will demonstrate your knowledge of personnel readiness data of the USR by answering questions about USR Reporting Levels and accurately calculating the personnel measurement areas of the USR.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

1.  #2 Pencil

2.  Blank Paper

3.  AR 220-1

4.  HQDA FY 08-10 Manning Guidance

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Ensure that your name, rank, class number, and date are on your answer sheet.

2.  This practical exercise consists of two parts. Part 1 consists of 15 fill in the blank questions about Unit Status Reporting. Part 2 consists of 5 questions about specific calculations that would be done without an automated USR.

3.  ALL WORK ON THIS PRACTICAL EXERCISE MUST BE ON YOUR OWN. You may NOT communicate with other students, give or receive assistance, make record of your answers anywhere but on your answer sheet, or pass on information about this practical exercise to other students.

4.  You will have 60 minutes in which to complete this practical exercise. Once you have completed the PE, bring your PE answer sheet and any scratch paper to the instructor and exit the classroom until the designated critique time.
