Purpose: A completed application is the first step in the process to becoming an American Gelbvieh Junior Association Board of Director.

Eligibility:

  • Must be at least 16 and not yet 20 to apply as of January 1, 2016

Requirements:

  • Applicant must submit a typed essay of 750 words or less describing why you would like to be on the AGJA Board.
  • Applicant must submit one letter of reference from a teacher, advisor or cooperative extension agent.
  • Applicant must submit a letter from their high school, college or university stating that they are in good academic standing.
  • Applicantsmust have a GPA of 2.0. An official transcript from the school the applicant is attending must be sent.
  • The following application must be typed.
  • Each officer candidate is required to speak at the opening ceremonies and banquet (one minuteat each event).
  • Include one recent black and white or color print of applicant(may be placed on the cover sheet of application).
  • Your application must include a signed “Code of Conduct Contract” included with this form.

Code of Conduct Contract

“The AGJA Board of Directors will comply with all rules and code of conduct specified under theAGJA Rules and Bylaws, Article III, Sections 16 and 17. By signing this contract, board members and board candidates will abide by all rules. There will be no excuse for ignorance; all board members will be treated equally when found in violation of code of conduct. Violation ofArticle III, Sections 16 and 17 will result in Board members being immediately removed from theAGJA Board of Directors. All board candidates and board members are held fully responsible for understanding the Code of Conduct Alcohol and Drug Policy and will be held responsible forall actions.”
