YWCA’S 10th Annual Purple Sash Gala Benefit’s Only Certified Shelter For Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking in Oklahoma County
OKLAHOMA CITY (June3, 2013) —The YWCA’s 10th Annual Purple Sash gala will take place Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, 1700 N.E. 63rd Street in Oklahoma City. The elegant evening will include dinner, live and silent auctions and a New York-style fashion runway show. Victims of domestic violence or sexual assault will share their personal story of escaping abuse and rebuilding their lives. All proceeds from Purple Sash benefit the YWCA, the only certified shelter for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in Oklahoma County.
“Purple Sash is our way to celebrate the courage and successes of survivors of domestic violence and raise funds to help those who are still struggling. ” said Janet L. Peery, CEO of the YWCA Oklahoma City. “This is an elegant evening for a very worth-while cause – helping women and children escape and heal from abuse.”
