We are slightly behind in the Sunday collection for our fiscal year ending June 30th by $18,569. In these difficult economic days we trust that everyone will do the best they can to help make up our difference.

Nativity exists for the common good of all and when we put our heads and hands together, we succeed at doing God’s will and being Christ present. I hope you will be as generous as your means will allow.

Sincerely,

Fr. Paul

Congratulations to the new members of Parish Council and Education Commission. On May 12th at the 11:00 Mass, names were randomly selected from the willing nominees for both groups. The new members for Parish Council are Cinder Miller, John Finn, Pete Hagerty and Pat Michel (alternate.) The selections of high school students to be youth members of Parish Council are Alice Hagerty and Michaela Townsend. The new members for Education Commission are Holly End, Molly Ganz and Mary Lennard. Thank you to all of these new members and to all who were willing to serve in these parish organizations.

Mark your calendars now for next Saturday, June 8th after the 4:30 Mass for the Parish Picnic. Celebrate the start of summer with fellow parishioners in the courtyard. We will have 2 magicians, balloons, and cotton candy for the kids. Jamie Steele will be the DJ. Burgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and beer will be provided by the parish. What do you need to bring? A side dish if your last name begins with A-Q and a dessert if your last name begins with R-Z.

Festival Announcements

Nativity Bid-n-Buy booth needs your donations: Can you create or make something like handmade quilts, baby blankets, scarves, beaded jewelry, painted furniture, wreaths or yummy food? Do you have a new item or a gift certificate that you have not used yet? Then, donate those items to the 2013 Bid-n-Buy booth this year. You can also help us stock the booth by donating any of the following:

Tickets Vacations

Electronics Sports

Home & Garden Fashions

Services

To donate, you can mail your donations to me, place it in the collections basket (marked Bid-n-Buy), or simply drop your item off at the parish office and complete a donation form. If you prefer to make a cash donation, our team can do the shopping for you! To allow processing before the festival, please submit all donations by August 16th. Remember all donations are tax-deductible! Please contact Suzanne Burgei, 2013 Bid-n-Buy Chair, (513) 300-5468 or if you have any questions. Thank you for your support!

Attention Nativity Parishioners: Angela Hillebrand and Missy Minghetti are the current co-chairs for the Nativity Fall Fest Children’s area. They are looking for interested families to shadow them this year and replace them the following year. This is an exciting opportunity to grab a group of friends and make a difference. The time commitment is small and the reward is great. Missy and Angela will be leaving behind a very detailed binder with all contact information and a timeline to help keep you on task. If interested please contact .

Best Job Ever: After 7 years of chairing the Main Dinners for the Nativity Fall Fest, it is time for me to move on. The Main Dinners is THE BEST chair. You will be working inside where it is infinitely more comfortable than working out in the heat. Your total time commitment is approximately 5 hours on both Friday and Saturday nights. That’s it! I have very detailed notes which will make this shift incredibly easy. I would like to run the Main Dinners this year in “tandem” with the lucky person who takes on this chair. It really is the perfect job at the Fall Festival. Please contact Stephanie Benhase at or (513) 631-0843.

Please extend a warm welcome to our new parishioner Jason Percival. Welcome to Nativity Jason!

St. John (Deer Park) Festival will be held on June 7th (6:00 till midnight), June 8th (6:00 till midnight), and June 9th (4:00-10:00.) Join in the fun with a variety of food, games, nightly entertainment, huge bid-n-buy and basket raffle, gambling, and games for all ages.

You are invited to attend the 2013 Moeller Science Camp, The Search for Life on other Planets, on Monday, June 24-28, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm each day. This camp is open to all boys and girls entering 1st-6th grade. Learn how science is done and why it’s important! Explore the universe around you and discover new friends and new worlds. The cost is $160 for the entire week. Deadline for registration is Friday, June 7. Register online at www.Moeller.org/ScienceCamp or for more information, please contact Michael Shaffer at or call 791-1680, ext. 1927.
