This notice should provide all the necessary dates, times, and deadlines for submitting information to the tournament director. Any early submittals will be greatly appreciated.

I will highlight the major items needed and the dates due below:

Deadlines:

A) Prioritized list of officials (5) ------Due 1/12/07

B) Program (unofficial) roster and team picture ------Due 1/15/07

Northwest Designs will be printing T-Shirts/Sweatshirts on Site

C) Twenty-four (24) preliminary roster------Due 1/22/07

D) Season Record------Due 1/30/07

E) All Region 3 Nominations ------Due 1/30/07

F) Good Sport Team selection (one from each team)------Due1/30/07

G) Game and Skills Competition Times

H) Board of Control and Coaches Meeting

As per Region III bylaws , a preliminary roster not to exceed 24 players is due 10 days prior to the tournament’s first game. A final team roster of 20 players must be selected from this list and submitted to the tournament director no later than three hours prior to the first game of the tournament. Thereafter, no changes or substitutions shall be permitted.

D) Season Record------Due 1/30/07

Each school must fax or submit via e-mail the results of their season play by 7:30 AM. The seeding of the tournament will follow the Region III bylaws. To seed the tournament, the tournament director needs the score of each Region III game and games against any other 4A level opponents. Please summarize your Region Record as this is the first seeding criteria.

Teams will be seeded according to the following criteria:

1. Region record

2. Head to head competition

3. Common opponent at 4A level

4. Fewest goals scored against during regular region contests.

5. Toss of a coin

E) All Region 3 Nominations ------Due1/30/07

Each school will submit the names of players to be considered for an All Region III 4A team. As per Region III bylaws the number of nominations for this team is determined by your seeding in the tournament. Please fax or email the appropriate number of names by 12:00 noon on 1/30/07. Each team also will submit one players name as their “Good Sport Team” representative. Please send this name with your “All Region” nominations.

1. Teams seeded first and second in the region will get 5 nominations.

2. Teams seeded third and fourth will get 4 nominations.

3. All other teams will get 3 nominations for a total of 27 names.

Players nominated should also be labeled by position they normally play.

At the Coaches meeting, all head coaches may then vote for

6 forwards, 4 defensemen, and 1 goalie from those nominated.

Coaches may not vote for their own player

G) Game and Skill’s Competition Times – Tournament held at Palmer Ice Arena

Game times – Note on ice warm-up is a half hour prior to listed game times

Thursday: 3:30 pm, 5:45 pm, and 8:15 pm

Friday: 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm

Saturday: 5:00 pm

Skills competition: A skills competition will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. As in the past we will have competition in:

A.  Speed Skating

B.  Shooting Accuracy

C.  Showdown

D.  Hardest Shot

Please Submit your 2 names for each event at the coaches meeting on Thursday. I will have the forms in your packet.

H) Board of Control and Coaches Meeting

Coaches Meeting: A coaches meeting will held on Thursday, February 1st at 12:00 PM. (location TBA). We will cover necessary last minute details at this time and complete voting for player recognition.
