  1. COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENTS
  1. Scholarship – B. Winterle announced that scholarship applications would be posted online on our chapter website. Applications are due March 21, 2014.
  1. Student Activities – J. Krausrecognized the (15) students in attendance at the chapter meeting. (14) were from UW Platteville and (1) was from UW Madison.
  1. Membership – S. Olsenrecognized our new chapter members.
  1. Sustainability Update – R. Miller talked about our chapter LinkedIn modeling group.
  1. CTTC – S. Hackel says he is looking for local entries for the ASHRAE Technology Awards. Projects must have 1 yr of energy usage data. Only the short form application must initially be filled out. Email applications to Scott.
  1. Research Promotion – S. Schuetter says we are behind our chapter goals. So any individuals or companies that are interested in donating are welcome. Contact Scott directly.
  1. Advocacy – M. McDevitt spoke about the energy benchmarking program being pursued by the City of Madison. Our local ASHRAE BOG wrote a letter to the City of Madison in support of this program. Buildings over 25K sqft would be required to report their energy usage.
  1. CRC Conference – S. Gould mentioned the Chapter Regional Conference (CRC) is coming up the first week of May and will be located in Iowa City, IA. A marketing email with details will be sent out.
  1. S. Gould announced that ASHRAE president, Bill Bahnfleth, would be coming to Madison in May. He will be the speaker at our chapter meeting and the tech session. The main session will be on sustainability. We are going to try and make this a joint meeting with other professional societies. The May meeting will be Research Promotion Night and Membership Night.
  1. C. Mori announced that members should print out and bring their PayPal or email receipt. Make sure you finish completing your meeting registration online. We had a few people who thought they were registered for the meeting, but did not actually fully complete the meeting registration.
  1. M. Heil announced that nominations for the BOG member at large position are still open.
