4. Chinook’s Edge Tournaments:
- Concerns regarding the participation of schools in this event. What is the purpose and is it needed? Is there a difference between the high school participation and middle school? Are schools taking full advantage of the tournaments?
- Possible solution is to set permanent dates for the tournaments to promote consistency and increase school participation. Explore at next meeting.
- Possibility of J.V. tournaments or inclusion of J.V. teams to division tournaments?
- Issue of appropriation of funds for running the tournaments and supporting volunteers. Christy Siddle problem with x-country meet. Re-fund for buying volunteers food on a cold day? How much money is allotted for incidentals at a tournament?
- Possible solution: $100.00 available for incidentals, if needed only, to help cover costs at organizers best judgment?
- Discussion of what is CESD’s budget for running tournaments? How much money is allocated to Division tournaments? What is the cost of running the tournaments?
- Could funds be better utilized if budget was given to organizer and they had control to use as needed?
- Sub. days for organizers: 1 day prep and 1 day to run tournament. (2 day total). Max. 2 people to run tournament.
5. Transportation:
- Discussion: Further challenges
- Possible meeting with Bruce Moltzahn
- What needs to be discussed?
- Dan Richmond and Jay Steeves to look at future decisions Division makes about transportation and the impact it may have on extra-curricular athletics.

CEAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES
(We’re pretty excited about these!)
Volleyball is quickly coming to a close and we would like to determine Division Champions. So, Tricia McCambly (South) and Matt Tillapaugh (North) will be contacting the North and South Champions at each level to play for the CEAA Banner. Once regional champions are determined, the two coaches who’s team will play for the banner will have to arrange a game time and date together.
All Volleyball games will be hosted by the South teams this year. Official’s costs will be covered by the division. (Basketball games will be hosted by the North).
Championship Match Rules
All matches will be the best of 5 games to 25 points (win by 2 with no cap) and the 5th game to 15 (no cap). Winners get the CEAA Banner.
