My Pizza Parlor Activity
1. Begin your research by looking at various order forms from existing pizza parlors. What do you see on their sites? What stands out to you? Does their site look “good enough to eat”?
2.Now, plan your site. Sketch your site and write down on paper the items that your Pizza Parlor will offer online!
- How do you envision the home page? What content, elements, and features will be on the site?
- How many pages will your site have?
- You are required to have an order form, so decide which type of input you will use for each product – radio buttons, check boxes, dropdown lists, etc. How will you layout your order form? Lots of examples online during market research will aid you in options available.
- Create a name for your pizza parlor—be creative—along with a slogan for your pizza parlor
- Design an effective navigation scheme for your site
- Choose colors that compliment each other, yet use the meaning of colors (hint: what color makes people hungry??) to build a great site.
3.Seek approval to begin working on your site.
4.Once approved, get to work! Create a home page for your pizza parlor that includes a graphic image with two hotspots – one that links to an order form and one that links to general information about your pizza parlor. This page should capture interest of customer to ORDER a pizza! There should be CONTENT on this page that makes me want to eat pizza!
5.Create your online order form for pizza products! Set the form to EMAIL to store computer.
