Interacted with the residents on a routine basis, worked out of the Social Services office, conducted interviews to test memory and cognition of the residents, filed reports into the online nursing system, conducted interviews to learn the residents’ family history and created genograms from the information, helped with activities, went to weekly staff meetings, and performed filing and office work. Learned how to interact with the elderly, about how the brain is affected my dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Learned about eating habits and what is recommended for diets for the elderly. Learned about the state regulations for the process of figuring out their cognitive states.
