SHARING GOD'S GIFTS School is back in session, and the DSA Educational Ministries are preparing to provide many services for our parish catechists—faith formation, youth ministry, the media center, lay ministry training all have an impact on our own parish! If you haven’t made a DSA gift yet, you can do that online at ww.charlottediocese.org/dsa, or dropping a check made payable to the DSA to the parish office. Our assessment this year is $22,485.41. PRIESTS’ RETIREMENT & BENEFITS COLLECTION: The annual collection for Priests’ Retirement and Benefits is scheduled for the weekend of September 19-20. Your contribution to this important collection is a way to show your gratitude to the priests who serve you so faithfully. Our assessment this year is $7,232.57

PIANO LESSONS: Elena Nezhdanova-Cunninghgam is an organist/pianist at St. Benedict’s church and is a current Doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Elena has 14 years of teaching experiences working with students of all ages and abilities. She is currently teaching privately at Moore Music Store and Cary School of Music. DIOCESAN 25TH AND 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS IS THIS YOUR YEAR?

If you are celebrating your Silver or Golden Wedding Anniversary this year, please contact our church office if you wish to be included in the celebration. The Mass will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Mass begins at 2:00 pm and will be followed by a reception. To receive an invitation, you must call our church office to register.

THE NATIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL being held in Greensboro on Sept. 11th to 13th will affect St. Benedict’s Church that weekend. We have no 5pm Mass on Saturday but Elm Street will be closed on that weekend in front of our church. There will be no parking available in the Attorney office next to the church. Greene Street and Smith Street will be open but parking may be at a premium for the 11am Mass.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES We will be collecting school supplies to be donated to local schools.

All donations will be accepted at the Church after Mass or the Parish Office on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Thank you.
