  7. Time Keeping, Communication Skills, Team Work
  8. Budgeting – Financial Management

Tuesday - 10am - 1pm - Dementia Awareness

BME Elderly Community & Carers

Our Five Key "My Memory Cloud" Outcomes

  1. Challenging Negative Stereotypes of Dementia, Attitudes & Behaviours.
  2. Supporting people living with Dementia to maintain their independence for as long as possible.
  3. Raising awareness of Dementia in the BME Community.
  4. Create a safe space living with Dementia, their friends & carers to increase empathy, understanding& communication.
  5. Develop a Resource Pack for BME Communities in their own community languages.

Wednesday - 10am - 1pm - Music & Mindfulness/Alchemy Community Radio/Healthy Minds, Healthy body’s

BME Community Ages 16 – 25

Weekly radio material created by local residents in an improvised way on a specific subject that is uploaded each week maximum 5 mins edited music added with a vision of making their own community drama. This will also act as a vehicle to inform and promote local community, council events, support local businesses and local groups. Building support for Black and Minority who have been effected by mental health conditions providing support and guidance to look at alternative methods to dealing with Mental Health.

Thursday - 10am - 1pm - All Equal All Different

Exploring Identity, citizenship & belonging , empowerment, building resilience, self-esteem, self-worth & Confidence, tackling hate crime against all discriminated groups and the reporting of crime against religion, disability, sexuality and race.

Masculinity Project - What is A Man? With the use of Critical Dialogue and Forum Theatre, explore with participants the concept of ‘Male Identity’, masculinity and the role of a man, and see whether their views, opinions and interpretations differ from those of the previous generation.

To look at the term ‘Male’ historically and explore the concept of ‘The Modern Man’ Create space for participants to discuss critically issues relating to the topic and in doing so enable them to become more aware of the factors influencing their construct on the concept of ‘Man’. The project will cover topics ranging from Relationships, Men in popular culture Mental Health to Domestic Abuse and Child Sexual Exploitation. The project will challenge ideas, foster debate and encourage participants to develop skills in critical discourse and rational thinking. We aim to work with participants in facilitating a short drama piece which will reflect their learning.
