Technology 101 Trouble Shooting Guide

Attention Instructors/Flight Computer Reps:

Technology 101 is designed to assist you in trouble shooting intelligible computer issues in relations to the students. This guide provides detailed instructions outlining the most common problems that occur during class and providing plausible solutions. If any information is unclear or ambiguous the Barnes Center Helpdesk will provide prompt service to assist you and the students. Thanks for your support!

Network Accounts

Please have each student sign for their network account for validation purposes. Once each student logs in with the information provided they will use this information the entire time while attending PME.

International Student Accounts

International students will be briefed and will sign for their accounts during their initial orientation with respective Liaison. Network policies for their accounts are the same. Validation forms are turned in and miantained in the Barnes CenterCSA Helpdesk.

Email Set Up Instructions

Once each student is logged in under their respective CAC they are ready to setup an e-mail account,your flight computer rep has these set up instructions. See attachment: Outlook 2007 Setup Guide

Printer Setup

All laptop computers have the printer for that flight room on the desktop so that no matter who logs into the computer they have the printer available to them.

Other Notes

If a student is locked out of his or her CAC have the computer rep or instructor email the Barnes Center/CSA Services box () or call 416-1620 and to setup time frame to have CAC reset.
