Position Statement

I have been in the profession for 26 years, 14 of those in education. I have served as a Director at Large for AEIRS for 3 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and responsibilities. I would be honored to continue these duties of assisting in the operation and responsibilities of AEIRS, as well as continue to provide leadership and direction toward the accomplishment of the AEIRS goals and objectives. Position Statement

I have been an educator in the Radiologic Sciences for seven years, and am currently working on my PhD in Educational Leadership. I have a Master’s in Health Education and a BS in Health Administration. I attended the ASRT Leadership Academy for Educators and the ASRT Leadership Academy for Governance in 2005. I firmly believe that educators should actively participate in the organization, either as an officer, committee member, or a vocal part of the membership.

I believe my experience in academics and with professional societies has prepared me well for the position of Secretary/Treasurer. I served as a secretary for both work committees and for a state society. I also presently manage the finances for a state society and have prepared budgetary documentation for an academic department. Position Statement

As a radiographer who has been involved in a myriad of activities at both the state and local level as well as serving in leadership positions with AEIRS, I believe that it is time for me to serve in this challenging position. Our profession, radiologic science education, is at the point where we will have to pay attention to our replacements. Precious few radiographers feel the calling to teach, and we at AEIRS must encourage those who do.
