Brighton, Colorado Food Assistance Resources

Meals on Wheels: Hot noon-time meal delivered to anyone in Brighton who may need assistance due to short- or long-term health or mobility issues. Meals are delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday (it is not necessary to order 5 meals a week), and the cost per meal is $4.25, billed monthly. Thanks to local grants and donations from community members, clients may be able to receive meals at a reduced price. Contact Rhonda at 303-659-0978 for more information.

Hot lunch at Eagle View Adult Center: Monday through Thursday, at 11:30, provided by the Volunteers of America at Eagle View, 1150 Prairie Center Parkway. Requested donation is $2.50 for people 60 and over. Cost is $7.25 if under age 60. You must call and make your reservation two days in advance, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday: 303-655-2271.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC): The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides nutritious foods, education and referrals to community resources. WIC is for income eligible pregnant or breastfeeding women, and infants and children up to the age of five. Income guidelines apply. Commodity Supplemental Food Program, a.k.a. “Senior Commodities”, available once a month to low-income seniors 60 and older. Registration and distribution on the second Wednesday of every month, 4:00 – 5:30 PM, at Chapel Hill Food Pantry, 10 Chapel Hill Drive. Bring photo ID, proof of income and proof of address to apply, or contact Hunger Free Colorado (720-382-2920) for income requirements and application assistance.
