Ida May Tiff

Ida May Tiff, 86, of Redfield, SD, died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield. Her funeral will Monday, January 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-7:00 p.m. with the family present from 3-5:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Ida May was born November 21, 1923 in St. Paul, MN to Charles and Mildred (Shiek) Carlson. She married Raymond Tiff June 10, 1940 in Madison, MN. They farmed in the Doland area before moving to Redfield in 1959. Ida worked at South Dakota Developmental Center-Redfield in the laundry department and on the dorms for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed her stay at the Eastern Star Home the last six years, where she would help fold laundry when she felt up to it.

Ida enjoyed crocheting, cooking, playing cards, fishing, camping and traveling. Her biggest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and caring for people.

Ida is survived by her children: Ruth (Frank) Dvorak of Ashton, SD; Zelda (Bill) Klebsch of Redfield; Sandy (Bruce) Flint of Sioux Falls, SD; Art (Victoria) Tiff of Rochester, MN; and Bob (Connie) Tiff of Redfield. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two brothers: Charles of Oklahoma City, OK and Alfred of Wheaton, MN and one sister Minnie of Sturgis, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond in 1998, two brothers: Clayton and Reno and three sisters: Charlotte, Ethel and Betty.

Casketbearers will be Wayne Dvorak, Mark Dvorak, Laurie Richards, Tom Dvorak, Jim Klebsch, Jeff Klebsch, Karen Stephenson, Kristi Leyden, Karri Olinger, Steven Flint, Scott Flint, Justin Tiff, Nikki’ Tiff, Rob Tiff, Dustin Klebsch and Bill Dvorak.

Honorary casketbearers will be Ids's great grandchildren.
