POSITION:Prime Time Program Coordinator

SALARY:State Salary Schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from high school or equivalent. Candidates must hold North Carolina Child Care Credentials and North Carolina Administration Credentials. Candidates must hold a valid CPR and First Aid certification. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain Basic School Age Certification within 6 weeks of employment. Candidates must hold a valid N. C. driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:The basic functions of the Prime Time Site Coordinator are as follows:

  • Supervises the entire program; teaches and directs the program expectations to his/her staff
  • Provide leadership in developing program plans and in implementing and evaluating those programs
  • Assures that regulations set forth by the Division of Child Development are followed at each site
  • Conducts self as a role model in the program and community
  • Plans various types of indoor and outdoor activities with the assistance of each Group Leader and children
  • Assures correct daily attendance records are taken and maintained
  • Responsible for monthly attendance reports regarding the Department of Social Services students and their timely delivery to the Prime Time office
  • Maintains a folder containing current and pertinent data on each child
  • Assures there is adequate supervision of students at all times
  • Assures that each child leaves only with his/her parent or guardian or by authorized prior arrangement
  • Assures that the building is secure and areas are clean after the program is over each day
  • Communicates frequently with principal, Prime Time Director, school staff, children, parents, cafeteria manager and office administration.
  • Conducts and records monthly fire drills and playground inspections
  • Attends Program Coordinator meetings on a regular basis
  • Conducts evaluations annually on all program staff at their site
  • Receives required hours of in-service training each year.
  • Assures proper distribution and count of daily snacks
  • Follow the ISS system and NC Code of Ethics.
