POSITION:Prime Time Program Coordinator

SALARY:State Salary Schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from high school or equivalent. Candidates must hold North Carolina Child Care Credentials and North Carolina Administration Credentials. Candidates must hold a valid CPR and First Aid certification. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain Basic School Age Certification within 6 weeks of employment. Candidates must hold a valid N. C. driver’s license.
RESPONSIBILITIES:The basic functions of the Prime Time Site Coordinator are as follows:
- Supervises the entire program; teaches and directs the program expectations to his/her staff
- Provide leadership in developing program plans and in implementing and evaluating those programs
- Assures that regulations set forth by the Division of Child Development are followed at each site
- Conducts self as a role model in the program and community
- Plans various types of indoor and outdoor activities with the assistance of each Group Leader and children
- Assures correct daily attendance records are taken and maintained
- Responsible for monthly attendance reports regarding the Department of Social Services students and their timely delivery to the Prime Time office
- Maintains a folder containing current and pertinent data on each child
- Assures there is adequate supervision of students at all times
- Assures that each child leaves only with his/her parent or guardian or by authorized prior arrangement
- Assures that the building is secure and areas are clean after the program is over each day
- Communicates frequently with principal, Prime Time Director, school staff, children, parents, cafeteria manager and office administration.
- Conducts and records monthly fire drills and playground inspections
- Attends Program Coordinator meetings on a regular basis
- Conducts evaluations annually on all program staff at their site
- Receives required hours of in-service training each year.
- Assures proper distribution and count of daily snacks
- Follow the ISS system and NC Code of Ethics.
